1970 Porsche 914/6 Vintage Race Car.

The Porsche 914/6 was described by Road and Track magazine as "the first mass-produced mid-engine sports car. " With its 2. 2 liter Type 901/36 flat-six engine (as also used to power the Porsche 911T). the 914/6 develops 110 HP at 5800 rpm. rated at a top speed of 123 mph. Combined with its light weight and great handling characteristics. many of these cars found their way to race tracks around the world and now. over 40 years later. are serious competitors at SCCA sanctioned events.

This particular car (Chassis # 9140432125. Engine # 901106101SR) was race-prepped by Rothsport Racing in Tualatin. Oregon and comes with an extensive file of receipts documenting the work performed. Runs beautifully with no issues. The wheels have been upgraded to the optional Fuchs 14" alloys. 4-wheel disc brakes have been upgraded with Carrera front rotors and calipers and the suspension has struts front with Bilstein shock inserts.

Racing seat and roll cage equipped. This is a true racing car. It is clean and tight with excellent paint and finish. Never wrecked. This car may also be licensed for legal street use. (May require a change of mufflers. )  

It has been raced at SCCA vintage class events at Portland International Raceway and is always a contender. Sale includes the SCCA logbook.
