Gorgeous 1985 Mercedes 300D Turbo-Diesel with only 110,000 miles.  - Car history : I am the third owner of this car.  The original owner was a surgeon who drove the car a very short distance to the hospital for work.  My brother then bought the car around 2013 and I purchased it from him in 2015.  The car was expertly maintained by the original owner, and my brother and I have carried that on with meticulous maintenance.  This has been our Sunday driver for some time and always gets stares and compliments.  I love the car, I had wanted one for years.  I'd love to keep it, but my wife and I have an agreement that I only have one 'fun' car at a time ;-) - Original paint : Beige with camel MB tex interior.  Paint presents fantastic.  There is a scratch which it looks like someone tried to repair (and failed) near the passengers side front parking light (pictured) - this is very unnoticeable unless pointed out.  Paint also some stone chips a few places around the windshield (pictured) and some light swirling on the trunk and hood (this was originally someone's daily driver), and light fading on the rear view mirrors (pictured) but shows absolutely beautiful from over a few inches away. Fantastic considering the age of the car.  Original windows (including windshield) and glass is perfect.  Bumpers show no chrome wear or scuffing.  No rust that I'm able to see easily and all panels are solid and look great.  Rubber around windows is mostly solid and still supple, there is very light cracking on I believe the passenger's side window trim.  Emblems look perfect.  Doors shut like a vacuum.  Wipers work (although not used in Arizona much nor was the car driven in rain).  Always garaged.   - Drivetrain / Body : Cold starts like it did in 1985 and runs strong.  Turbo operates perfectly and provides exceptional boost.  Since the time my brother bought it from the original owner it has been maintained with LiquiMoly synthetic oil every 6 months even when not driven much.  Various hoses have been replaced, injectors, of course fuel filters etc.  No significant leaks, a drop or two of transmission fluid every few weeks.  No smoking or exhaust issues - passes Arizona smog test every year.  Car runs cool in traffic with no issues.  Transmission shifts smooth through all gears.  Alignment is straight and steering wheel positions correctly.  The A/C works perfectly however needs to be recharged.  There must be a slow leak as I had to recharge it about 3 years ago.  I believe the A/C has been updated to R134 as it has the newer fittings, but at the risk of sounding dumb, I didn't think to ask the tech when it was recharged.  Front tires are newer, 2016 and have a lot of life left.  The rear tires still have a lot of tread but are from 2009 and so they may need to be changed at some point in the near future due only to their age.  Shocks were updated in 2015 and it rides beautifully.  Has original spare and tools in trunk.  - Electrical : All power options work including all four windows, sunroof, and power antenna.  Lights all operational including fog lights, turn signals, headlights, taillights, dash lights.  All switches work for their assigned purpose.  The car does not have the original Becker radio (bummer) as the original owner must have 'upgraded' to an Alpine very early on. The Alpine works however.   - Interior : Interior is beautiful for the age of the car.  No tearing on seats or the dash.  Headliner is in great shape with one very small area next to the interior light where it needs to be placed back behind. Carpet looks excellent with a few small stains around the passengers side foot well (pictured).  Door panels all look new and wood is fantastic.  Trunk looks never used.  This car is neither a show car nor is it a beat up Taxi, just a beautiful example of a 1985 300D that was a very lightly used daily driver. 110k miles and it shows it in every regard.  Please bid with this in mind.  I do have the car listed on local classifieds and reserve the right to end the auction early.  Thanks very much for your interest.

Update: I forgot to post a photo of the odometer.  For that photo and a few other photos, including ones that I've tried to show any blemishes that I'd want to see if I were buying the car, I've created an iCloud link here: https://share.icloud.com/photos/0oUbMHLosZDqiNwlmPEIduvRg
