In early 1963 this Plymouth Savoy Max Wedge was sent from the factory to Fenner Tubbs Chrysler Plymouth in Lubbock. Texas. It was campaigned by Fenner Tubbs on the drag racing circuit for a short period of time in 1963. The car was driven by World Class Record Holder. Joe Smith.
Unlike most drag cars of the time this car was never cut. tubbed. subframed of altered in any way. There is no evidence that the car ever had a roll bar installed in it.
The car was completely restored in 1985 with 18. 10 miles on it. The car has register only 1. 00 mile in the last 28 years. The car is in excellent condition and won best in class at its last showing in July of 2011.
The car was scheduled for build on November 1. 1962 and has the high compression 13. 5-1 engine date stamped TMP HC 12-27-62. The transmission is the 727 automatic push button.
