This iconic British car was bought new by a doctor in Aberdeen on his retirement in 1960.

He drove it until he passed away in the 1980's.

His family then garaged it for the next 20 years until the garage was sold. when the car was bought by an enthusiast. who recommissioned the brakes and put it back on the road.

With too many projects. he drove it less than 500 miles. then sold it to me.

I had the car completely resprayed in the original colours (in cellulose paint).

Only two areas of welding were required (bottoms of the "A" pillars) and this was professionally done.

I have replaced the door and sill seals. replaced the brake servo and serviced the brakes. replaced the belts and the cooling system hoses. eplaced the starter motor with a refurbished unit.

I also had a retractable seatbelt professionally installed in the back seat (the car already has period seatbelts - manufactured by the Irvine Parachute Company! - in the front) The exterior is excellent.

On close inspection. there is an minor area of bubbling (about the size of a 50 p piece) on the petrol filler cap.

There is some pitting on the bumper chrome. particularly on the rear.

I don't think either of these detract from the looks of this beautiful car.

The underside is all solid.

The interior is also very good.

The blue leather is all intact with no rips or split seams.

The indian mahogany on the dash is all good.

I am only selling the car because I no longer have a garage.
