1929 Chevrolet 1-1/2 ton Stake Bed Delivery truck. 1929 was a significant year for Chevrolet trucks. It was the first year for the overhead valve 6 cylinder engine. 4 speed transmission. and solid disc rims as opposed to wood spokes. This truck has underwent a complete restoration years ago and has been carefully maintained since. The body and fenders are in excellent shape and show no signs of prior abuse or rust with the exception of the Drivers side lower cab that has an area behind the door where it appeared to have some type of rust repair right at the bottom. (close up pic below) The paint was very nicely done and the bodywork is very straight. Gaps on hood and doors are very nice. Paint shows patina from age up close. Chip touch ups here and there as well as some lacquer cracking. Wood bed is in great shape and has aged nicely. Windshield folds out and side windows roll up and down. Engine is original and has just had a new water pump installed. Transmission shifts through all the gears as it should. This truck runs excellent. all of the gauges and lighting work properly. and is ready to be shown in your collection or used on Parade Day. Very nice example of a very rare truck!
