Current customer rating:
1970 Camaro RS Z 28
Rust Free! Non-matching numbers. It originally was a RS Camaro converted into an Z 28. The very sleek second-generation split bumper Camaro. introduced in February 1970. was built only as a coupe. The sizzling-hot 1970 Z 28 packed a new 350-cid / 360 hp solid-lifter V-8. while the RS appearance upgrade now featured a split front bumper. Rebuilt 350 V-8 small block with upgraded SBC 5 Speed Hurst shifter. This car has had a meticulous restoration with nothing left out. Every nut. bolt. screw. clip has been inspected. Total restoration 2 years ago. All new sheet metal. interior. suspension. weather stripping. brake lines. fuel lines. wiring harness. brakes. The correct 350 small block was bored . 030 and fitted with new pistons all balanced and blue printed. Solid lift Crane cam and lifters. Heads all reworked with hardened exhaust seats installed so it will run on today's unleaded fuel. Installed electronic ignition so you never have to adjust points or timing again. A 12 bolt posi all rebuilt with new posi and 3. 73 gears.
The Muncie 4 speed was replaced with a Tremec TKO 600 5 speed from American Powertrain including their hydraulic clutch system. For a rock steady ride installed a complete Hotchkis TVS 2 suspension including sway bars. front and rear springs. shocks. front end steering and a quick ratio power steering box. Car has headers and dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.
Refurbished 8. 00 redline tach and 150 mph speedometer (very rare items).
Restoration was done at 63. 00 on the original speedometer. I recently had the carburetor totally rebuilt with new plugs and wires. Only non-ethanol gas burned in this Camaro! If you want a nicely done restoration that you can show or drive around town on fair weather days. you will love this one! Its a blast to drive. all MUSCLE!!! A real head turner everywhere you go. Reason for selling??? Kid going to college. ):
