Citroën DS Pallas

Citroen DS 20 Pallas semi-auto. Left hand drive. 1974 M. Gris nacre. burgundy velour.

Imported from southern France (dept. 69) in 2010 by me from a very nice lady who had owned her for 11 years. 56000 km (likely 156. 00 although French paperwork documents a very low mileage back to the mid 90 s).

This is a reliable top spec. well maintained semi-auto DS that I have had a great deal of pleasure from over the past 4 years. It is used regularly for short trips around central London and for trips over to France.

It is a car to be proud of in its current state although my plan had been to undertake a full body restoration to bring it back to a very high standard after it had an altercation with a London cab last year (superficial damage but she is now unfortunately tainted - the price reflects this- see photos). I'm selling her as she is which means she could either be used as she is (presentable). repaired (damaged panels only - a few hundred £s) or fully restored (a few thousands £s).

Good points:
Well maintained by DS specialist and in regular use.

Bad points:
Bash/scrape to rear door.
Other bodywork issues highlighted in photos
Whine in 4 th gear (historic)
Interior is original with signs of wear- see photos
Misses historic tax exemption by a few months (hopefully this will change)

Reason for sale: I'm hooked on Ds ownership so I'm buying an earlier DS.

Caveats: I'm a DS enthusiast so have some knowledge but I do not work on cars so please take advice or commission an independent specialist if in any doubt.

Price: I believe the price is modest to reflect the bodywork damage and so there will not be lots of room for negotiation- try picking up a Pallas auto in useable condition in France now for less than £10 k!

This is still a stunningly beautiful car in very good condition that still attracts admiring glances and comments wherever you go and I have every confidence she would drive me to the south of France tomorrow.
