1967 triumph spitfire. For sale is my prized spitfire.  I purchased the car off a family friend in the summer of last year with full intention to fully restore the car. The car is fitted with a 2500cc engine from a triumph 2500 pi which is running on twin carbs. The engine has been registered and rebuilt before purchase.   Since purchasing the car. I have welded the sill on the drivers side and stone chipped underneath. The interior was bare so i purchased and fitted a full carpet set and have put in some temporary seats as i was intending to repair the originals (both are with the car). Under the bonnet the engine was rebuilt a couple of years ago i have since replaced the rotary arm. distributor cap. leads and plugs. The car has had a new alternator. battery and starter motor. All brakes have been changed and new brake line. I have a new clutch for sale with the car (because of noisy release bearing) but have not had the time to fit it. The car is also fitted with a GT6 bonnet  and ashley roof which i recently purchased and fitted for the winter although the original boot and soft top roof with spare leather are with the car. The car is also fitted with KN alloy wheels which were on the car when purchased it but have had all four valves replaced.   In my opinion all this car really needs is a respray. a little TLC and the interior trimming. The car is solid underneath and is taxed and MOT'd in full working order. The car is being sold purely because I have recently brought a house.   I am not willing to accept any silly offers as this car could be a little gem for some-one.
