Seller's notes: "HEY THERE,I have a 1953 Morris Minor Tourer (convertible) for sale. I have been using this a daily driver for about 4 years now. It has an 1100 cc motor with dual SU carbs. Fun to drive and a bit sporty. The top is the canvas type. It has the old style split windscreen and is surely a classy classic vehicle. Disc brakes have been added to the front of the car. The patina of the paint gives it a friendly feel. It is not a show car by any means. Come take it for a spin and you will be hooked. Oh yeah, the heater works great. It has been running around on the road for over 61 years and it shows its age, but still keeps on keepin' on. The paint is still on it but is old, and the motor is not the original but still an A series engine. I can get more detailed photos for those of you who are serious. Just send me a request. This car is ready for restoration, which I could provide for you, if you choose. I do Morris Minor repairs and restoration for a living, up here at the Double M Ranch."

The good stuff:The 1953 Morris Convertible Tourer old school split window style car. is so fun to drive. I get more attention in that little beauty than you could imagine. Most folks like the relaxed look of old paint over the gloss slick "pretty boy" cars. The car cooks right along with that 1100 cc motor with dual SU carbs. The disc brakes work great. The heater does a great job of making you warm. The rust factor is minimal. especially for a car that is 61 years old. The battery is new. The tires are like new. The convert top ( the British call it a hood ) does not leak. The lights all work. as they should. Horn works fine.
The funky stuff:Well the car is 61 years old. right? The paint is worn. There is some body moderate damage at the quarter panel. just behind the drivers door. It was filled in before the last paint job. it appears. The chrome is pitted in some locations. The trans is fine if you shift normally. but if you power shift it will grind. The front seat upholstery is tired. while the back seat is pretty decent. Carpet is worn. but usable. Car is totally drivable. but some folks would say it needs a makeover. I am not going to get too detailed. and if you need super details then you would not like a Morris in the first place. I personally love the little tike. I did not list the mileage cause I do not really know what it is.
