The article originally written about this car you can view by searching google pontiac test car 9723 and selecting cached on google search page.
The article written by Mike Noun has been taken down recently and he has altered his other article and recanted his original writings. I have digital copies of both articles he has changed
He miserably attempted to make a clone of my car. e managed to sell that miserable attempt of a clone of my car to some unlucky individual. When presented with the facts and when asked to present any facts . e was only able to provide the 2 black and white pictures above. The black and white photos above are the same vehicle . howing 2 different options PMD Pontiac Engineers would of used if they would of carried over 1969 f bodys into the 1970 sales year.
This heavily optioned car is the vehicle in the black and white photo.
My vehicle has (1 of kind rear quarter panels) just like the one in the black and white photos.
My vehicle also has factory rivots that run the length of the car on both sides
The Seats you see in the black and white photo of the passenger side match -stitch for stitch -with my seats as well as the silhouette.
The vehicle in the black and white photos is 99. 9999% conclusive using forensic photography without a doubt perfect match.
My vehicle is also %100 original. minus the engine harness
The PHS will not reflect a midyear invoice that PMD engineers were presented with a WHAT IF SCENARIO
You can visit Trans AM World and view a list of all the 1969 Body tags on the site the only vehicle with a ( AEE A -H Code) is mine . recently had a unknowledgable supposed expert tell me this was for power windows. I find this to be untrue because out of all the body tags on that site . y vehicle is the only one with Power windows.
These experts have changed there stories so many times and have tried to disprove the facts which we know are visible. The black and white photos have no airbrushing like the color photos of test car 9749.
My car is original I have left it this way so there will be no doubt to it being unrestored. You can see bolt for bolt and 45 + years of grime that is all factory . The only iten I have changed is the engine wire harness.
The WS motor was installed by Factory . t will only take a quick look at the engine mounts by anyone with a decent amount of knowledge to see that this motor has never been removed or replaced from the vehicle.
The rivots that run the length of the car were only done at the Factory and more importantly the REAR QUARTERS are 1 of kind just like the ones in the BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO.
view cached or pm me and I will send u a digital copy of his orginal article.
The extended 69 production and the delay of introduction of the '70 Camaro. irebird was not purposeful. nor was it related to labor problems; it was late because the quarter panel draw dies failed during final die tryout and had to be rebuilt from scratch. Fisher Body had lots of troubles drawing the 1970 quarter panels without wrinkles and splits. They attempted to correct the problems by modifying the draw dies during final tryout but the problems got worse instead of better. Fisher finally had to redesign/rebuild the draw dies. which delayed the launch by 4-5 months. Chevrolet decided to extend the 1969 model. which created a wild scramble. as this meant extending part supplier contracts for the '69 (suppliers had already committed their facilities to other business). finding alternate capacity for '69 parts. etc. The PR department attempted to spin the delay in a different direction for public consumption as GM never publicly admitted any internal problems or failures. especially within Fisher Body. its biggest manufacturing Division. with the biggest tooling budget. But the delay of the 1970 Camaro was a black eye for Fisher Body Die Engineering. as it was the first production launch delay that was ever laid at their feet.
