1969 Ford Shelby GT 350 Mustang 4 speed numbers matching motor and transmission

 Here is what I know now the car is at The Mustang Ranch. First I have pulled back the passengers fender to verify the stamped vin number in the apron. It is the correct Ford font. size and spacing 9F03M480404. Then I have checked to see that the apron. spring tower and associated sheet metal has not been tampered with and have their factory spot welds. Now that I know that I have a good and true Shelby I have also checked the windshield and door tags. they are original and correct. This Shelby went through a moderate restoration about 10 years ago. The numbers matching engine which I have verified the vin number and the build date are correct. As well as the 4 speed transmission has the vin number stamped in it as well. Both were rebuilt to stock specifications. The motor retains its original intake. carb. distributor and air cleaner. All of the engine bolt on's were replaced as well. Water pump. fuel pump. alternator. starter. belts/ hoses/ clamps. radiator. motor mounts. clutch assembly. U joints battery cables and much more. The front suspension was completely rebuilt. New upper control arms. lower control arms. strut rod bushings. link pin kits. sway bar bushings. nbsp;tie rod assembly's. idler arm. power steering control valve/ hydraulic ram/ hoses/ pump. front and rear shocks and a new front end alignment. The front and rear brake systems were rebuilt as well. Brake booster/ master. nbsp;calipers rebuilt. new hoses. pads. rear wheel cylinders and shoes.  As you can see the interior is in great shape. Everything electrically works on the car including the clock! There are no signs of heavy collision on this car. Engine bay sheet metal. radiator support. torque boxes. frame rails. floor pans. trunk drop off's. body sheet metal and fiberglass are original to the car. The drivers left rear lower quarter skirt was replace but you can only tell if you look in the trunk or underneath.  The body and paint are in very nice condition. I would give it an 8 +. There is no filler cracking or any rust spots popping through It was a cut buff and polish paint job.  There are a couple of occasional chips and scratches but nothing catastrophic.  As you can see when it was repainted it did not get the black out treatment repainted on the hood. There is some paint blistering in the air intake pockets on the hood where the black out treatment should be so this would be a great opportunity for your body and paint guy to come in and repair those spots and do the hood black out treatment. All the glass and trim are in nice condition. more than anything the car needs a good cleaning and detail job. The motor starts right up and hits on all 8 cylinders. no noises or smoke or any leaks at all. The clutch engages smooth. nbsp; transmission shifts through all forward gears and reverse just fine. I have ran this Shelby up to speed and beyond on the highway and it runs out just fine. The car was in service up till the end of the summer. It will need a little exhaust work done. I will check into it but no promices. there are a couple of ehaust leaks. The tires are period correct Goodyear bias ply and the wheels are in great shape. We roughly guess the rebuild has about 7. 00 miles on it Please call and ask as many questions as you like. there is no warrantee or guarantee no this Shelby.      Best regards.
