Ford L9000 Tandem Axle Cummins for sale
Current customer rating:
1985 Ford L 9000 tandem axle. I bought it from the original owner and have driven it less than 100 miles.
It has 109. 78 original miles as of February 21. 2014 and cranks and run good. The original owner started with it as a dump truck then converted it to a tanker to haul seal coating.
It was in his motor pool for 8 years un-used being cranked up occasionally and he was liquidating un-used stock and I bought it.
No issues with drive train.
Since I owned it I installed a new set of tires. piped air to rear. changed oil and had the air conditioner charged.
I have the invoice showing the original purchase price of $76. 69. 00 and equipment installed. It has a NTC 350 horsepower Big Cam Cummins with a three stage Jake brake. 16. 00 lb. front axle. 46. 00 lb. rear axle with a Hendrickson walking beam suspension. power steering. air ride driver's seat. dual trumpet air horns. wet line pump on transmission. pintle connector and dual aluminum fuel tanks.
It has a 13 speed Eaton transmission and 4. 62 ratio rear axles.
I bought it to haul my antique tractors. other farm equipment and to use for a fifth wheel RV home…bad idea!!!
The dual tandem and Hendrickson walking beam is too rigid for a fifth wheel RV and thus. I am moving to a single axle.
There are some cosmetic bugs associated with this 29 year old truck but it is solid with no rust.
I am more in it than what I am asking.
Please e-mail if you have questions. want to come by and see it or want more pictures.
If you to talk to me send your number and I will return the call. The only trade I would consider is a Case 450 B or C dozer with a six way blade. less than 3500 verified hours and 80% or better under carriage with a full ROPS and side covers. no exceptions please. Thanks for coming by my auction.
