Original Colour is Tangerine - very rare Porsche 911T 1969 Restoration Project

THIS ITEM IS BEING RELISTED DUE TO TIMEWASTER (DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THEM……)
Recently imported from the USA. All duties paid. Once restored this car simply needs an MOT and then a straightforward application to DVLA for registration. It will be given an age-related plate.

You are looking at a 1969 Porsche 911T that. although imported from the states. is in fact a European Spec car (originally registered in Germany we think). The exciting thing about this car is that it's original factory colour was Tangerine. Restored and put back into this original colour would make the car look fabulous……. (the bottom picture in this listing shows how it would look)

It is a 2. 2 on carbs. with a 905 dog-leg five speed transmission. It is fitted with an S front bumper

This car can be viewed (and should be. if you are a serious bidder) at pretty much anytime - just call Darren on 07836 734477

The best thing that anyone who is interested in this car can do is to come and see it - however. if that's not possible. or you want to get a better feel for what it's like before perhaps travelling a long way to see it. I would thoroughly recommend that you view the video that I have placed on Youtube

The car does have corrosion in the floorpans. Additionally. the car has had previous floorpan work done that really needs to be re-done. Obviously. to those in the know. fitting complete floorpans is not too difficult a job and. were we to be doing the car ourselves. that would be the route we would go. However. the corrosion could be dealt with on an ad-hoc basis whereby there could be individual repairs to individual areas - the choice is the buyer's to make

Interior: The car essentially needs restoration of the interior. and it's probably best to assume that most things will need renovating or replacing. Most of it is there. but some of it is in a fairly poor condition. That said. the door cards themselves are not too bad. The seats are incorrect for period.
Exterior: The car is basically good externally. although obviously there are some areas that require attention (this is advertised as a restoration project after all…. ). This attention could consist of either re-panelling where applicable. or localised repairs as necessary.  The car is sat on the correct-for-period Fuchs Alloys and. although these are perfectly OK. any purchaser would probably want to refurbish them as a matter of course.
Mechanically: Although we were successful in getting the engine to run. it wasn't really firing on all cylinders (quite probably a carbs issue). It has some signs of oil leaks. For the purposes of this listing the car is being sold as non-runner and a restoration project.
In summary. even though I've tried to describe the car as well as I can. there is absolutely no substitute for actually viewing the car yourselves. and I encourage you to do so……. (or watch the video……)

Please note that. due to bitter experience of time-wasters. any bids from ebayers with less than 10 feedback will be automatically removed unless they call me first…….
