RELISTED DUE TO TIMEWASTER.
For sale is my Escort RS Turbo Series 1. this has been stored for the last 6 years. Overall in very good condition for a 28 year old car.
I purchased this 9 years ago as a 80% part complete project. The previous owner was unable to save the original RS Turbo. so all parts were transferred onto a XR 3 i donor vehicle. which it is registered as in the logbook. all RS parts are present on this vehicle.
Clock shows 72 k miles. No MOT or Tax.
Upon completion I decided to have the engine rebuilt by a top specialist in the UK. Brief overview of spec as follows.

Low Compression forged pistons.
·
Fully lighten and balanced bottom end.
·
H-section rods.
·
ARP bolts throughout.
·
Ported big valve cylinder head and camshaft.
·
Ported and blue printed manifolds.
·
Hybrid 0. 48 T 3 Turbo.
·
Custom 2. 5” free flow exhaust.
·
Custom full width intercooler.
·
Custom re-map and set-up.
·
Full silicon hoses.
·
K&N filter.
·
Producing a estimated 230 – 240 BHP.
I have also purchased a set of refurbished RS 7 spoke alloys (centre caps missing). fitted with Pirelli P 6000 tyres. these are as new and still have the rubber bobbles on.
Also fitted with:
·
Sony and Infinity Stereo system.
·
Clifford Intelliguard 950 and Intellistart IV.
·
Koni Suspension.
·
Wax oiled underneath.
Bad points. and there are some as you would expect for a car of this age.
·
Rust spots appearing on the bottom of each door.
·
Few spots of rust on slam panel.
·
Stitching starting to come apart on rear seat (section of 150-200 mm). otherwise in very good condition.
This car comes with part history. however. during moving house a few years ago I have lost some receipts. one of which is from the tuner who carried out the above work. I have spoke with him and he does have proof that this work was completed and remembers the car. He will verify what work was carried out. but obviously can not comment on the condition of the car now (the car has been dry stored since this work was completed). I have not named the tuner as I do not want them to receive an endless stream of calls!
As mentioned above he is more then happy to confirm the spec. and I will provide only serious buyers the name of the Tuner.
I think the price is realistic considering the engine cost this alone. Will also come with a box of assorted parts.
I have tried to be as honest as I can be. and will answer any questions asked as best I can.
