1967 Lancia Fulvia for sale
Current customer rating: (564 votes ) based onThis car is a rare 1968 Lancia Fulvia Rallye 1. 3. A very original 2-owner car. this particular example has briefly had its engine run by force-feed in our restoration shop. This classic rally champ has been stored in our dry climate for many years and carefully protected from the elements. With some minor preperatory service. this car can become a great nostalgic daily driver.
An extremely advanced car for its time (one of the first vehicles to prove the potential of front wheel drive: Lancia even used this technology to beat the revolutionary Audi Quattro AWD system!). the Fulvia was equipped with many groundbreaking features. The high-revving (6000 rpm) 1298cc. V4 engine was designed with an extremely narrow 12 degree bank angle allowing for the use of a single cylinder head on a "vee" formatted engine. This unique design utilizes DOHC technology: for which one camshaft activates all four cylinders' intake valves. while identically. the other keeps exhaust flowing downstream. In this way. the engineers were able to eliminate many heavy parts for a substantial weight savings. Twin Solex carburetors feed into one side of the cylinder head and the exhaust is transported from the other side. The 5-speed transaxle was also quite an interesting unit and helped keep weight distribution closer to the center of the vehicle than other front wheel drive cars. It also allows plenty of room under the hood for other essential features. Independant front suspension. nbsp;four wheel disc brakes and aluminium hood. doors and trunk lid also kept the weight low and prevented understeer on the road as well as the rally circuit. The Fulvia is very lightweight--tipping the scales at just over two thousand pounds. Following testing in 1967. Road and Track magazine was quoted as saying that the Fulvia was "a precision motor car. an engineering tour de force. " These cars are not only beautiful and talented. but quite fuel efficient in addition to being comfortable and reliable enough for daily use.
This particular example would make a nice driver or a good starting point for a restoration. The interior is in excellent shape with no signs of wear in the uphostery. Paperwork includes a file about an inch thick. full of receipts and invoices all the way back to the early 1970's.
A brief rundown of the service is as follows. /p>
-repaired hand brake mechanism
-new exhaust system
- rear shock mounts
-caliper re-sleeved
-master cyinder and entire brake system re built
-new brake piping
- re built radiator and new hoses.

Hi, just wondering if the Fulvia is still for sale? If so, do you have any pictures showing just the Fulvia including engine under body etc? Sorry, you have a few pics of other vehicles mixed up with the Fulvia! Regards, Bill
