This car was listed on Ebay over a week ago. but the buyer had to back out. so now it's back. and in even better condition. 1971 Honda an600. /strong> Here is a fine "Original" example of the now. "Rare" Honda AN600. This is a "Numbers Matching" car. It has had 1 paint job. but everything else is just like it left the showroom. All I did was clean it up and give it a good detail. The tag on the "B" pillar says it was made in Japan in June of 1970. This car has only 48. 00 original miles on it. Honda built about 60. 00 of these "Micro" cars for the US market for 3 years. 970. 1. and 72. This car will cruise the freeway at 65 mph and give you 50-55 mpg. It has an air cooled 37 hp engine and front wheel drive. power assisted front disc/ rear drum brakes. To find one in such excellent Original condition is very rare indeed.   I have totally rebuilt the braking system. including rebuilding the master and brake booster. new pads up front. new wheel cylinders and shoes in the rear. It comes with the original owners manual. and even the original push button AM radio. I am only the 3rd owner of this "California car.  and I have the history of all the owners going back to the original owner. It was purchased locally here on the central coast of California and has never left. It has an after market sun roof. upgraded velour upolstery and the fuel door was chromed. New battery. nbsp; radial tires. and swaybar bushings. It was just registered. all fees paid. and is insured. and would be considered a "Daily Driver". except I only take it out on occasion to give it a little exercise. and it shifts and drives nicely.   UPDATE: I have had some questions that I will answer here. First. on the sunroof. It was already in the car when I bought it. I removed the brake booster and the master cylinder and sent them both to Karps Power Brake in Upland. Ca. to be rebuilt at a cost of over $800. He paints them black when finished with the rebuild. The rear shelf came with those 2 speakers already attached. a section of the speaker wires was missing. so I replaced those missing sections and they are hooked up to the am radio. The chrome overall is in remarkable condition with only 2 areas that have a little rust bubbles. one is above the right rear tail light chrome and the other is on the top of the right license plate light. As far as I know. the paint is approximately 20 years old. The car comes with one set of "original" keys. I was told that the wheels are from a coupe. the steering wheel as well is from a coupe. and no. I don't have the original wheels or steering wheel. Basically. I got this car in this condition. I simply had to do an extensive clean-up/detail to get it ready for sale.  If you are looking for a fine example of Honda's first car. look no further. this one is for your collection.
