Up for sale is an original 1959 GMC pickup truck. complete with title and owner history.   This truck has many possibilities to be either a restoration or a rat rod. as the patina currently is quite nice for a truck of its age.   the pros for a possible restoration include:
It has a completely original engine. transmission. and carburetor. the original wheels. hubcaps. and all original glassfully functional original guages save for the Odometer and temp gaugeHas the deluxe heater. one of the few luxuries on this truck. which is original and in fully operational conditionretains the original foot start pedalhas the original unrebuilt saginaw steering box which is still tight and fully functionalretains its original wood bed in decent conditionhas an original. rust free gas tankThe truck has the 4 speed manual in the floor. including the granny low first gear
the truck even has the grease-pencil markings from the factory still on the firewallAs for the condition of the body. the frame is solid. with only minor surface rust and still retains dirt from its use as a farm truck.   I have added minimally to the truck just to improve driveability. as it was my daily driver for 5 months
Added a rearview mirror. for better drivingadded a rear bumper and tail lamps. as when we acquired the car it had no tail lamps or rear bumperhad the wheels. bumpers. and hubcaps powdercoated for longevityput brand new truck tires on ithad the radiator inspected for leaks and repaired/repaintedGenerator refurbishedadded an easier flow paper carbeurator top and filter. rather than the old Oil bath filter (original included)upgraded windshield wipers to electric and added new arms and wipersreplaced the tie rod ends to tighten steering
repaired the original heater to fully functional conditionnew horn but retained original horn button for steering wheeladded a tachometeradded a auxillary power port to one of the already existing holes where a blank spot was. in order to save the dash from unnecessary drilling
intended to add more; all extra parts. including originals that were removed. are included in the saleI have driven the truck for 5 months. and it is a solid daily driver at the moment. or a perfect candidate for restoration.   as for some issues; there is a minor oil leak in the rear seal of the engine. which requires attention about once a month.   the cab corners and in front of the doors have rust holes. but that is expected for a car of this age.   all the other sheetmetal is solid. even if there is light surface rust on it.   To doctor the surface. i gave the truck a CLR bath to stop further corrosion yet save as much original paint as possible.   another slight issue is that the speedometer reads about 15mph off at higher speeds. and we theorize that someone at some point replaced the differential gears to allow for higher top speed.   the issue should be as easy to fix as simply replacing the tiny plastic speedo gear in the top of the transmission.
the temp gauge is caput; we have replaced the sending unit and it still refuses to work.   In all. these problems are minor at best. hardly detract from the driveability of the truck and are expected of a 50 year old automobile

as for the included parts. :
new mirrors for both sides OEM
new door seals OEMNew bottom window seals. OEMpedal insulating bushings and padsoriginal vaccum actuated wiper motor and switches
new outer door handle seals. and original door buttonsoriginal inner door handlesoriginal oil bath carbeurator topperIf you have taken the time to read all of this. and are an interested bidder. but have questions. feel free to ask. and i wish you good bidding!
