1950 Ford Custom Deluxe Coupe ***Must See*** Excellent Condish Radical Car for sale
Current customer rating:
This is an excellent condition. awesomely maintained car. It is the top-of-the-line model for 1950. I have owned it for 7 years. It has NEVER had a mechanical failure/breakdown. I drive it a couple times a week to and from work. run errands. generally cruise. whatever. It starts and drives like it should 100% of the time. If you buy this car and something goes wrong mechanically. you can come back to my house and punch my face.
As a hobby. I build vintage motorcycles and keep 60 year old Harleys and Triumphs going. so this car is a welcome break from the repair those things require. I'm selling this car because I bought an amazing 1935 Ford Coupe. But it wasn't cheap. So here this is despite the fact that I want to keep it.
Usually when I sell an old bike. I want to avoid selling to people that haven't owned vintage motorcycles before because they require frequent maintenance. That's not the case here. Just keep the oil changed/clean and you're fine. Are you a 16 year old chick? Your first car? Go for it!
Are you like that guy that tried to buy one of my old bikes and were surprised that you had to kick start it? I know you were embarrassed in front of your trophy girlfriend when I deduced that you confused "electronic ignition" with "electric start". But don't worry dude. this car has both! You're solid! So solid.
The car is available for viewing and test rides in Huntington Beach. CA.
What I've done to the car to make it awesome The paint was professionally applied by a pro body shop 3 years ago. It has been color sanded smooth. The paint literally feels like warm butter if you drag your finger across it. There are no dents or scratches. The body was straight as an arrow before and there is no filler in the car. Go ahead and feel behind panels. bring a felt covered magnet. whatevs. People constantly compliment the car for its looks. But as a first. a dude hollered at me in traffic and insisted I give him my body shop number because of how well the paint presents itself.

The list of things that might be on your list of weekend activities to address with the car.
I replaced the speedo cable and the speedo/odo functioned for a couple weeks. then stopped. No idea why. maybe cheap aftermarket cable? I think I didn't lube it. but I didn't care to pursue it.
The gas gauge reads about 1/2-3/4 when completely full. So the sender may need adjusting. Access in trunk. E still means E so you're good there. Oil pressure and temp work fine.
Radio doesn't work.
2 small holes in the driver door for a mirror. I didn't have them filled because I thought I wanted to run a mirror. I didn't.
I think that's about it. If you have questions. just ask.
