1962 Chrysler 300 Sport Coupe
Big Block Mopar. 413 ci engine
Up for auction is a 1962 Chrysler 300 Sport Coupe.
This car has been upgraded to the 413 ci engine and runs and drives beautifully.
The engine has a great sound. and the transmission shifts nicely.
All in all. a great car to drive and enjoy.
Some of the features that stand out on the '62 300 are the p ushbutton transmission and
radio. o ne of the most unique dashboard designs of all time. and the
“Wrapdown” taillights which replaced the fins from the previous year. lending it a sleek custom look right out of the factory.
Recent improvements include:
Rebuilt carburetor
Rebuilt power brake booster
American Racing wheels
New valve cover gaskets
New water pump and gasket
Brand new rolled and pleated seats. front and back
Brand new carpet
Recent transmission flush
Recent coolant flush
Gas tank cleaned out
The only issues I've been able to find with this 300 are that there has been some rust repair in rear quarters. and the weatherstripping needs to be replaced in some areas.
The rust repair was done well and is only visible when underneath the car.
There is one spot I can see where the paint is bubbling. about the size of a half dollar on the driver's side quarter.
I've included a picture.
There is a small tear in the headliner (also visible in the photos). but otherwise it's in very nice condition.
