We are truly privileged to offer to the market this original time warp & highly desirable Fiat 600D Multipla. a 1963 model being a genuine LHD example & a 6 seater (Taxi) configuration. retaining it's original 767cc engine. It has a warranted mileage of only 49. 40 miles from new & has only had 2 Italian owners from new. the current owing this amazing vehicle since 1988. whom is a Fiat Commercial main agent & has dry stored this example for the last 26 years as part of his own private collection!
This stunning vehicle is an ASI (Automoto Club Storico Italiano) registered example & comes complete with its ASI passport stamped & signed by the ASI president. This means the vehicle has never been restored or modified & is as it left the factory in 1963.
It has resided with the owner for the last 26 years tucked away in his private collection in the small town of Vergato. Bologna. northern Italy. just outside Modena. We have copious pictures of it there along with pictures of it being loaded outside of his dealership into a closed transporter ready for its journey to our shores. where it's now UK registered. Mot'd & road legal.
The vehicle looks 100% original. has all original panels. interior. motor etc & has the chassis number: 112254 with the matching original engine number 1714044.
It is a true time warp example that must surely be one of the most unique in the world. I have been dying to find an example like this since I went to the Goodwood Revival in the summer & we were taken around the circuit in a Multipla taxi. they use them normally at the Revival to transport VIPs around!
I fell in love there & then & have been literally hunting the globe to find one since. Not only is the mileage warranted by the owner on this example. the vehicle is totally original & unrestored. hence unmolested. The only work that we can see has ever been carried out to the vehicle along with regular diligent maintenance is the white paintwork has been professionally repainted we are told by the owner in 2009 / 10 & looks very fresh & pleasing to the eye. The panel fit is excellent. all the floors and panels look factory correct with the original welds & are all in excellent structural condition. thus this must surely be one of the most honest examples that still exists.
The engine is the original unit. starts on the button & drives without fault. Being the later 1963 model the engine size is 767cc rather than the earlier 633cc example which is underpowered especially if you are carrying 6 or more people!
What you see with this unique example is what you get. Nothing has been covered up or patched up over the years. So as such it has patina that includes slight wear marks commensurate with it's age which makes it all the more honest & lovable. You could actually use this example for every day use. transportation to the Revival. or as a contender at classic car shows & be proud of it in any circumstance.

The Fiat Multipla was introduced in the spring of 1956 and was based on the Fiat 600's drive train being designed by Dante Giacosa. a genius at designing the compact vehicle. The 600 Multipla was the people carrier version & could carry up to 8 people so were popular with Italian Taxi drivers. The Multipla changed very little between 1956 and 1966 when production ended. In 1960 the engine size increased from 633cc to 767cc upping the bhp from 21. 5 to 29. this model became the 600D as the example offered for sale here. The gearbox was a 4 speed with synchromesh on all gears except first. Top speed became 65mph and returned an average of around 38 mpg. Production numbers were 76871 for the 600 and 83389 for the 600D. They were the first ever MPV's that we all know & take for granted today!
This cheeky chappie is great fun & the best tightest driving 600 variant we have ever offered without exception. These models are ever increasing in value & a good Multipla is not only a pleasure to drive but a great investment opportunity. Our Fiats come recommended by a leading authority on Fiats & parts specialists – Ricambio International Ltd. I actually have a light blue 1964 500D that makes up part of my own private collection & every body loves it! It always puts a smile on my face. plus you don't need to worry about the rising petrol prices – Just enjoy!
