67 ford mustang fastback project

Up for auction a 67 C code fastback. original Vintage burg car with C4 automatic ( original 3 speed) and has a 9" rear.

If you have been looking for a decent project and have found car after car that is just too plane rusted or not complete then look no further.

History; I bought this car along with another car from a friend . my buddy Dale owned both cars for many years and stopped driving this car in 1996. The inspection sticker is still on the windshield. He told me the trans started leaking pretty badly (frt. seal) so he parked it in his garage along with 3 other Mustangs. All cars sat there waiting for him to restore/ repair  but that never happened. I tried to buy the car several times over the years so finally he decided to sell the red car and then later this blue car .

Body: this car has a very decent body. the frt. and back frame rails look great. left torque box is fine (67's had only the left side). The hood and trunk had rust on the underside edge so I replaced them. I had the panels cut in so you could see the Vintage burgundy. The rest of the car needs to be stripped. Has a Maaco type paint job. The body work which I can see it needs is: roof has some damage and needs body work. corner of the rt door has some bubbling (probably previous repairs). the left quarter needs a section (behind the wheel). I expect the other side will need a patch also (can see some filler). there is some rust through in the trough under the trunk lid (all of it can be patched ). the floor looks fine except I can see a patch above the drivers torque box (visible in one of the pictures)on the inside. It will need some cowl work but overall it's a great project and one of the most solid cars I've had. The car is very complete. the only thing I see missing are a couple windshield chrome moldings but I probably have those side pieces. The rear end panel has the aluminum exterior trim panel.

Drive train: My friend said the motor ran when parked. It's a 351 W 4V not a 289. I started it and it ran fine (only ran it a few minutes). the C4 trans is complete (probably needs rebuilding). 9" rear was added. car has drum brakes all the way around. wheels are some type of aluminum finned style and the tires dont hold air too long (put new tires and wheels on the to buy list lol).

Interior. the interior actually looks fine. the seats are ok. it has the rear complete fold down seat. upper console. lower console (just sitting there not bolted in). no radio. will need the normal wearable stuff i. e. carpet. door panels. dash pad. cluster bezel . askets to be real nice.

Overview. these cars are getting harder to find in complete and decent condition. you could easily spend a fortune rebuilding a rust bucket so my asking price is super fair. If you want you could do some mechanical work and drive it a little before restoring it. I have several projects already in cue or I would  keep it . Call me if you have any questions.
