This auction is for a very nice 1955 Ford 2 Door Club Sedan. It belongs to a friend of mine who asked if I would list it for him. I will give you all the information that was told to me and also how I see the car. To begin with the owner is 78 years old. has owned the car for 20 years but priorities and situations change so he has decided to sell the car. This has been his baby ever since hes owned it. So it is tough to part with it. Hopefully it goes to a good home. As far as he can recall the car originally came from Tennessee. It is as rock solid and clean as the day it was made. It was already this color combination and paint when he purchased it. He did do some upgrades over the years. The motor that is in the car now is a 312 V-8 with newer type Holley 4 BBL. He believes it is a 57 engine. The motor was completely rebuilt by Hannafords High Performance Shop in our area. He is a well known motor builder and it was done professionally. Runs absolutely perfect. The transmission was changed from a 3 Speed to a 4 Speed Manual on the floor with Hurst Shifter. That was done by his friend Bernie Gerry who is also a professional in his craft. Power Steering with a cooler was added and a late model Power Brake set up with front Disc Brakes to stop the car better. Quite a difference in the handling. drivability and stop ability of the car. There is some chrome dress up on the motor. a neat flamed breather and generator was swapped out for an alternator. Car was changed over to 12 volt system. He never liked the battery under the hood so it was installed in the trunk. The car retains all its shaded glass which is in good shape. All seals and gaskets have been replaced for a nice tight seal. All the stainless on the car is in very nice shape. The bumpers. grill. parking light housings. tail light housings. hood ornament and pot metal trim has been all redone very nice. A nice touch is the tail light application. They are 1960 Dodge tail lights trimmed down to fit the openings with 56 Ford upper sections added. The rear bumper guards are station wagon. Has a continental kit. fender skirts for that 50's flare. Has Coker Radial Wide Whites mounted on T Bird style real wire wheels. He believes the dual exhaust system is a Holley brand also. Has a nice bold sound. Also has dual rear antennas. dual outside mirrors. scratch guards for the door handles and vent shades over the windows. The interior was redone in a Naugahyde material and is very pleasant to look at. Beautiful cloth headliner was installed. Seat belts were added. also Sony CD player. rear Pioneer speakers. Tach and gauges. Fuel gauge works. wipers work as do all electricals. The body condition is amazing! Super solid original undercarriage. I looked it over close and it is clean. No repairs or patch panels. Same with the outer body. No cut quarters. patched fenders or anything like that. He had the nose off the car when they installed the running gear and detailed everything under the hood. I did notice two miniature size dings. one on the drivers fender the other on the upper drivers side quarter. This was from a garage sweep broom falling up against the car. You really have to look to see them. We all know what it costs to find a nice car to start with. never mind doing all the upgrades to make it look and drive right. This is a turn key car that you can go to the cruises with now and enjoy. The car has always been garaged since he' owned it and will be garaged until pickup.  We have a current Maine registration and proper transfer forms for a smooth transaction. We are going to list the car locally so reserve the right to end the auction early. If your looking for a real nice car of this vintage you will not be disapointed.
