SELLER REMARKS

Although Corvettes had folding tops from the very beginning. this 1975 roadster represents the last of the drop-top 'Vettes for more than a decade. This well-optioned white-on-red convertible still represents a lot of open-air fun for not a lot of money. and you can't go anywhere without being recognized when you drive a Corvette.


Put yourself back in the mid-70s and you'll realize that a Classic White Corvette made you The Man. Even today. the C3 remains iconic with the general public. and we're certainly not going to explain to them how affordable these great cars have become. Refinished in the early 2000s. it still looks quite good. As with any car restored to actually drive and use as was the case with this one there are a few road signs here and there. but all things considered. this car is very presentable. Gaps are at least as good as when it was new. and those soft bumpers were also refreshened during restoration and have held up quite well. A sporty trunk rack adds some sorely needed carrying capacity for long trips. and all the emblems. marker lights. and other details are in nice shape.


Code 732 Dark Oxblood leather is original-issue in this roadster and looks fantastic against the Classic White bodywork. It's quite possible that those are the original seats and they haven't been faded or dried out by the sun. so you know this Corvette has been loved. Instead. the seats have a comfortable look that leather gets when it's aged just right. and the deep pile carpets provide a plush feel underfoot. The doors with their woodgrained inserts remind us that the Corvette was evolving in the '70s and was more of a grand tourer than sports car at that point. and with that in mind this one is loaded with options like A/C. power windows. and a tilt wheel. A newer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit provides the entertainment and with an iPod interface. it won't sound like 1975 out on the road. The white convertible top may very well be the original. and with that in mind it's in fantastic condition and still fully functional and presentable.


In 1975. all Corvettes were powered by the evergreen 350 cubic inch small block. and it makes all the right V8 sounds and still moves the two-seater with vigor. This numbers-matching L48 was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago. so it's just now getting broken in and drives superbly. While the engine was out. they gave it a shot of Chevy Orange paint that stands out. plus a newer serpentine belt drive system for the accessories. A stabilizer was also added up front to further enhance the experience when she's in those tighter turns. and it's amazing the difference it makes in the handling. The A/C was converted to R134a refrigerant. and GM knew the potential of their fiberglass sports car. so they fitted it with a heavy-duty TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. A newer stainless exhaust gives it a muscular sound and there are composite springs and fresh shocks at both ends to improve both handling and ride. The chassis is extremely clean. and the later aluminum wheels with fat 255/60/15 BFGoodrich radials will always look ideal on any C3.

TERMS OF SALE  

1. Per the eBay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this commitment are further outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.   This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
