For sale. 1967 IHC 1100 2WD pickup from the dry high desert. Just purchased from the original elderly owner.  Title is the same one issued when the truck was new in late 1966. and the owner's manual and even jack. lug wrench and handle are there.   This truck was that man's pride and joy and was very well maintained up until he became ill about 5 years ago. Exterior weathered from outside storage and now it's wearing some great patina. Super solid foundation for a restoration. or drive as is for great entry level truck - you won't find any better in this price range. A lot of these old trucks rusted into the ground or were scrapped. nbsp;and you just don't see them much anymore. I thought this one was worth saving. nbsp;and that someone might want to drive and enjoy it.  I'll do my best to describe this neat time capsule find below:

Exterior: Paint is mostly original and weathered as shown. It's just an honest old truck - no cancer or rot. only minor rust. There is no salt used on the roads here in the land of the prickly pear cactus and sagebrush. and we only get 10 inches of total precipitation per year.  The only rust issues I can see are at the very bottom of the front fenders(they hold mud/moisture). driver floor(from windshield gasket leaked). and small spots around driver side headlight area. We just don't see major rust here.  Areas described above are shown in the pics. Overall the truck has a lot of dings from typical use. but no major damage. Driver fender and hood were replaced and are a slightly different color. hood is dented. Some touchup has been done in various spots. Two stake pockets in the box are torn. Roof has some dents and tailgate was welded at one hinge. Windows roll up and down. windshield is cracked and passenger door glass is too.

Interior: Original except for front seat was reupholstered some time back. Presentable overall with no rips or tears in seat. original floor mat is nice with one small tear. Dash has a couple of cracks as shown. Owner added wood grain contact paper to dash bezel that needs to be removed. it's sun damaged. Radio works. heater blows but temp knob seems to be missing. not sure what's up there since he did drive it in winter. Everything on this truck seems to work except horn. and there is no rodent damage or smells.

Mechanical: Complete and well maintained old truck.  Starts. nbsp;runs. stops. drives.  Basically the truck had been sitting 3 years when I got it. I took it to a professional mechanic and had it checked out. Carb was rebuilt. nbsp;gas tank was drained and brakes were checked.  Oil change and service were done at that time also. Tires show good tread but not sure how old they are.  Original 304 was rebuilt per original owner but not sure at what mileage. Truck sounds good with no obvious smoke and no noises other than a lifter noise that comes and goes - will probably go away with use. Clutch and four speed trans feel fine. There has only been about 10 miles put on the truck since getting it back on the road. but it seems strong. Venerable IHC V8 provides grunt and moves this truck right out.  Underhood is pretty clean.  A few small leaks. nothing major.  Mechanic recommends removal and full cleaning of fuel tank. it was drained but there's probably some debris/scale in there.

Pricing/Misc: I got a good deal on this truck and you will too. I see this era IHC bringing solid money when they are clean. especially from rust belt bidders. I guess it  must cost much more to fix cancer and rot than to pay a few hundred bucks to ship a dry rig from the high desert. This car is a solid driveable project truck. and it's priced accordingly.   Title is clear and open. signed off by original owner and ready to fill your name in as purchaser. There is a lien showing from International Harvester Motor Credit from 1966. but it's been long since paid and I called the DMV and they show no liens and I have a DMV form stating that.  GOOD LUCK! Keep in mind that with all cars. nbsp;THEY LOOK BETTER IN PICTURES THAN IN PERSON.  Keywords International Harvester Scout Travelall 4x4 1000 1100 1200 120 110 KB 10 Travelette D-1 C-1 Loadstar L-160 C-99 200 80 K-1 A-170 R-120 A-100
