This is an excellent example of a 1938 Morris Eight Series ll Two Door Sliding Head Saloon and it retains a true period feel due to still having it's original leather upholstery.

The car has spent it's whole life in and close to the small market town of Bedale in North Yorkshire and the provenance with the car convinces us that the recorded mileage of 46578 will be correct.

The history file contains an original Green Log Book and a copy of a previous V5 showing the ownership history along with some photographs of the car with the owners at the time parked outside their shop in Bedale in the 1960's and another photograph of the car in long term dry storage after it had been retired from regular use.

The car was inherited by the last long term owner's son who sold it in June 2012 to a local enthusiast who collected it from the dry workshop where it had been in storage for a number a years. This gentleman recommissioned it without problem and enjoyed showing it last season. It is only now for sale as he has bought another classic car and only has storage at home for one car.

Although the car is now MOT exempt as it was manufactured prior to 1960. it has a current MOT which runs until June 2014 and the current Free Historic Road Tax until the end of May 2014 is on the windscreen.

The buyer will be happy and proud to be seen in this car at any of the classic car rallies that are held throughout the year and it is likely to prove be an excellent investment.
