MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1949 Dodge Coronet Convertible with a wonderfully restored interior and handsome Cadet Red exterior. This lovely convertible has had the same owner since 1990 and is itching to taste the open road with its top down once again.

In 1949. Dodge introduced the Coronet with the division's first post-war body styles. The only engine for Dodge was a 230-CID flathead inline six-cylinder with a single barrel Stromberg carburetor. The stock Dodge Coronet was a smooth-running car. and the six-cylinder engine could power it to 90 mph or more. A notable feature of the Generation I Coronets was a three-speed. fluid-driven transmission operated by a foot pedal on the floor and required no shifter. It had full instrumentation.

This Dodge Coronet—with its original instrument cluster—has had the same loving owner since 1990. We will note that the horn is inoperable and the fuel gauge currently does not function. This. however. does not take away from the smooth operating of the automatic. fluid-driven transmission and 230-CID six-cylinder engine. This is still a reliable Coronet and a rare find for any collector.

The door panels. vinyl seats and carpeting have been restored and look new. just like they did in 1949! The tires are whitewalled. and the period-correct Dodge Hubcaps bring the charm of the late ‘40s to the driving experience.

The VIN is 31371564. and this Dodge Coronet is looking for a change of scenery after it was cared for under the same owner for the last 23 years. This early Dodge Coronet is being sold on a clear Ohio title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
