·       We own and operate an OEM Restoration Shop located in Scottsdale. Arizona. ·       We have maintained this original. un-restored vehicle for its current owner. and we inspected the vehicle when our customer purchased this vehicle from Pat McGroder in June 1997. ·       We are selling this vehicle for our customer.  ·       We welcome any questions and inquiries you may have. This vehicle is available to interested parties for test drives. ·       We are located 10 minutes away from the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale Auction site. ·       A hoist is available at our shop if you wish to examine the undercarriage of this vehicle.

a.       A quantity of 300. high resolution digital photos of this vehicle's engine block. transmission. alternator. starter. carburetor. cowl tag and VIN number document these components as well as many other items on the vehicle.

 6.  Road ready. Vehicle is dialed in and ready to drive and enjoy              

a.       Copies of our detailed work orders dating back to early 2005 document that this vehicle has been correctly maintained.

 

DETAILED INFORMATION

 

Full Ownership History from new: This Trans Am was sold new in Palmyra. New York on May 20. 1974 at Buckman Pontiac to original owner. James Lambert Jr. from Walworth. New York.

a.       In late 1982. the future owner of the Phoenix-based “Factory Muscle” car collection. Pat McGroder bought this vehicle from its original owner and had it shipped to Arizona. At that time. it had 15. 71 original miles on it.   It is our understanding that this car was the first auto to be included in the “Factory Muscle” collection which grew to several rare muscle cars by the late 1990s.

b.      In late June 1997. the current private owner purchased this car from Pat McGroder. It had 16. 00 original miles on it.

Low Original Mileage. As of early 2014. this Trans Am has been driven 19. 00 miles. Original Factory. New Car Dealer Documentation includes: Original Warranty Folder from new car selling dealer Dealer Delivery Papers from new car selling dealer Original insurance card in name of original owner Some maintenance records Dealer invoice.

·       Pontiac Historical Records state that 212 455 Super Duty Trans Ams were built with 4 speeds.

·       Also provided with the vehicle is a reproduction window sticker.

 4.  Totally original/un-restored 

a. Engine compartment and undercarriage. with the exception of replacement of some hoses. the radiator. the battery. the exhaust system. the spark plugs and plug wires. and belts.

b. No items on this vehicle have been “spray can” restored.

c.  With the exception of certain areas of lower sections of doors and rear. lower front fenders. this car's paint is factory original.  

d.  Original interior. including carpets and all original glass and trim.

 

5.   Originality as it relates to “Born With Original Components in the GM Assembly Plant including:

a.       The engine including block. cylinder heads. manifolds. carburetor. and distributor are the original “born-with” items installed at the assembly plant.

b.      Transmission

c.       Differential and drive-shaft

d.      Sub-frame. steering and brake components.

e.       Exterior. sheet metal. glass and all trim

f.        Interior including seats. headliner. dash. carpet door panels. etc.

g.      Spare tire and all components in trunk

h.      The original tires are still with this car and they will be sold with it.  

·       The vehicle is currently equipped with a set of original 15” Pontiac Trans Am Honey Comb wheels and near new radial tires. This extra sett of tires and wheels go with the vehicle in addition to the original set of four. GR-70 Uniroyal Tires and the original set of four. Rally Two Wheels.

 6.       Vehicle's Condition Is Mint Original:

a.       Paint and Exterior: Very minor chips behind all four wheel openings. Paint is not thin. Finish is as good as one would expect for 1974 built GM vehicle. Paint was recently buffed by a very experienced detailer who knows are to work with original paint surfaces. Exterior of vehicle has never had rust repaired. Original glass. exterior and all other components are mint original. When the vehicle was new. the selling dealer rust treated vehicle's exterior with a rust proofing called “Body Guard” Rust Proofing. Plugs are evident in vehicle door jambs. These were installed when the inside of the doors. etc. had this product installed.

b.      Interior:      Is all mint-original showing very little or no wear. One front passenger side belt assembly is missing.

c.       Undercarriage and Engine Compartment:   Mint original. Exposed metal areas are surface rusted because the vehicle spending the first 12 years of its life in New York state.

 

7.       National Magazine Coverage: This vehicle was featured in a five page feature article on pages 46-50 in the June 2012 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines.

 8.       Road Ready: This vehicle is well maintained. that is everything works and it runs and drives as well as it looks. Recently the original carburetor and starter have been rebuilt. All receipts documenting the maintenance of this vehicle during the 15 years the current owner was been in possession of it. go with vehicle. and are available now for the serious potential buyer's review.
