Description

No Reserve Classics is proud to present to you our 1967 Ford Mustang 520ci GT500 Restomod! The iconic, slick sloping fastback caught the attention of everyone 50 years ago, and this original Candy Apple Red, S-Code Fastback will proudly do the same today. With a Bold Red Exterior, Shelby Inspired Exterior, and even the Well Restored Parchment Interior with the rare optioned fold-down rear seats, this is one of the Coolest Ponies on the road!

The quintessential pony car was already regarded as a step above the rest. With the most aggressive Mustang styling ever introduced. The Shelby Tribute has been outfitted with the wide hood scoops, revised grill opening with fog lights, air scoops, extended front end, new taillight design, and of course the GT500 ornamentation sprinkled through the car. The aggressive stance is emphasized by the Custom American Racing Polished Aluminum Shelby VN427 Wheels. But underneath the GT500 styling is where the magic truly takes place.

Underneath the hood, you'll find the Ford 460ci Big Block that has not only been restored but upgraded! Providing additional horsepower and bored out to a whopping 520 cubic inches! And with the Ford Performance Super Cobra Jet Aluminum Cylinder Heads, untapped power is ready to be unleashed! This top performing, freshly built engine is the definition of no replacement for displacement! All the power is fed through a Toploader 4-Speed manual transmission and delivered through a Ford 9" rear that unleashes the wrath of the ponies to the road ahead! A Holley Carburetor is placed on top of a Weinland aluminum intake manifold. Keeping that high horsepower motor cool is a job upon itself! Helping to cool is the Dual electric fans placed in front of the aluminum radiator, they pull in cool air and the fixed clutch fan dispurses it, and if that isn't enough, the Shelby hood has vents to not only allow fresh air in but has vents to disburse hot air going out. With much more room due to the seamless installation of the Mustang II pro-touring front subframe, this 520ci Motor appears to have been installed directly from the factory! And if that isn't enough a pair of front Wilwood disc brakes have been installed to stop the pony just as quickly as it accelerates.

With all that added horsepower, the suspension has been upgraded along with the frame. As mentioned previously, the front subframe has been upgraded to a Mustang II pro-touring kit! That includes the added bonus of front power steering, tubular upper and lower control arms, 2" drop spindles, billet coilovers, and wilwood disc brakes. The center section of this solid floor has been reinforced with the added addition of frame connectors. The rear dropped leaf springs have also been added to aid this Pony Car's aggressive stance. To help with wheel hop, the Ford 9" rear also has adjustable traction bars. Overall a very well-paired suspension and underbody that matches the built 520ci Motor.

As you hop inside, you'll be stepping back in time with a very classic and very well restored interior. The touch of red is carried from the exterior and into the interior by the carpet, floor mats. The Parchment Vinyl Seats, Door Panels, and Instrument Panels are all in phenomenal condition. In front of you lies the Wooden Shelby GT 3-Spoke steering wheel with a clear view of the newer instrument cluster with less than 510 miles on the dash. You can really get a glimpse of just how little use the interior has gotten. To the left of the steering wheel is the heater controls with defrost. To the right, a JVC radio will play your favorite tunes while you cruise on the road through new rear-side speakers. An available option for a Humphugger center console with cup holders is also available for purchase, that sits in coordinate with the 4-Speed Toploader shifter. All passengers sitting inside get to have to comfort of having safety through lap belts. Above the Rare-Fold down rear seating are the fresh air- control sliders on both left and right sides. Overall a very well restored and functional interior that looks like it was installed just yesterday.

As always, if you're an extremely interested buyer and are not quite yet convinced about the condition of our vehicle, we not only welcome inspections but encourage them! Please feel free to set up an appointment with any credible inspector and we'll be more than happy to put this car up on a lift for a thorough comprehensive inspection!
