Built by DP MOTORSPORT by Ekki Zimmermann for 2 time Joest Racing Le Mans race car driver Ernst Kraus, who desired a street car capable of enhanced performance and a motorsports feel.
This factory model Porsche 930 was delivered new in October of 1978 at Mahag in Munich and then transported to DP Motorsport nearby Cologne, Germany for modifications to DP 935 spec. Mr. Kraus proudly owned this car for many years.
Among the equipment and setup, this car was given the DP I aero package with the iconic 935 body, designed for Porsche and Kremer in their 1978 to 1981 FIA and IMSA efforts and podium Championships. The car was finished in the original factory Guards Red, and per the Porsche official birth certificate.
Propelled by Ruf tuned power pack engine and a RUF 5-speed Dogleg with LSD Transmission and rolling on RSR 15-inch Fuchs wheels.
The car is also equipped with a Ruf intercooler and Ruf Airbox.
The engine tuning is perfectly par with the rapports of the transmission, delivering a driving experience rare to be found in any other period 930. The tranny helps the engine stay on boost and keep the RPM momentum in the optimum point.
Power can be adjusted by the iconic “Dial of Death” boos controller located between the plaid upholstered “his and hers” Recaro seats. Boost is adjusted by the driver through an uber rare LED Kremer 935 style boost gauge. Additional protection is supplied by a genuine Mater period roll cage with all its corresponding decals and stamps.
This car comes with service records, DP Motorsport Certificate of Authenticity, Porsche Birth Certificate, and Dekra certificate and inspection, as well as the registration brief including it complete history since new.
