1976 Porsche 911 S for sale
Current customer rating:
Available now is this 1976 Porsche 911 S coupe which has been extensively modified and swapped with a V 8!
The exterior was refinished in Crystal Red Tintcoat back in 2015
features tinted windows, blacked-out trim, a color-matched rear spoiler, a front splitter, and 964-style bumper covers, taillights, and side skirts. Both tail light lenses are cracked, and the seals on the doors, back windows, and sunroof are in need of replacement. Paint looks good from 5 feet away but if you get up close it has several imperfections. Car has cup style wheels with older tires.
The suspension has been fitted with Bilstein dampers, and the brakes are said to feature 996-sourced calipers and cross-drilled and vented rotors. Brakes need to be serviced as they seem to not be powered. A sunroof delete has been performed.
The interior has been modified and upgraded to a more modern outlaw look.
The cabin has been re-trimmed in black and features replacement bucket seats with four-point Sparco harnesses, a harness bar, RS-style door pulls, Rennline aluminum window cranks, and a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. The rear seats have been removed, and a digital Fi Tech fuel-injection monitor has been affixed to the radio blanking plate. The right-rear window is not water-tight.
Instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,400 rpm redline, auxiliary gauges, and an analog clock that is said to work intermittently. The six-digit odometer shows just under 106 k miles.
Engine has been swapped to a 383 ci
V 8 which was first performed on the car in 2013 by Renegade Hybrids of Las Vegas, Nevada. The current 383 ci Chevrolet V 8 was subsequently installed in 2019 and is fitted with PBM aluminum cylinder heads, Mahle pistons, a PBM crankshaft, and a deep-sump oil pan as well as performance valvetrain components and a camshaft. Induction is handled by a Fi Tech electronic fuel-injection system, while cooling is provided by dual radiators with electric fans. The drive belts and transmission fluid were replaced in early 2020, while the spark plugs, air filters, and engine oil were changed in November 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rebuilt Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle fitted with a short shift kit, a kevlar clutch disc, and an iron pressure plate.
The car is in running and driving condition, next owner should be mechanically inclined as these swaps always require tinkering and being able to wrench on your own. The car idles and sounds phenomenal. More photos and videos are available to anyone interested.
This 911 S is now offered with service records dating back to 2013.
