Award-winning 1929 Ford Model A Lakes Style Street Rod.

Built by hot rod specialists Metropolis Speed & Custom. this Model A is a total custom with a killer old school lakes-style look. The build was completed in 2004 and the car has been driven less than 2. 00 miles since. It was awarded a "Top 10" pick by Street Rodder magazine at the 2004 Good Guys Nationals in Columbus. Ohio and was featured in the March 2005 issue of Street Rodder.

Built on a Real Hot Rods Model A frame. this Roadster is powered by a pro-built 350 ci V 8 engine that is backed by a TH 350 automatic transmission which drives a custom driveshaft and 9" Currie rear end with 3. 50 gearing. Performance upgrades include a Demon 525 cfm carburetor. Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake. block hugger headers. Walker radiator. Accel HEI distributor and MSD wiring. A custom stainless steel exhaust provides a stunning soundtrack. Dynalite Wilwood front brakes provide ample stopping power and the car rolls on red powdercoated 16" Wheel Vintiques "Genie" wheels with chrome rings & caps. all wrapped up in Coker Firestone wide white wall tires.

The body has been painted in a subtly metallic Nimbus Grey with a Model A front grill. Model A head lamps and custom red pinstriping to compliment the black frame rails. suspension and wheels. A reproduction Model T fuel tank sits uncovered behind the seats atop black suspension components & rear end. The interior is dressed in custom black vinyl upholstery and features a billet & leather steering wheel. '32 Ford dash with Stewart Warner instrumentation. a Lokar tall shifter with 8-Ball knob. custom cut pile carpeting and Deist belts.
