The series 40 by Buick was introduced for the 1930 model year but would only run one year, take a short break and be back from 1934-1935. There is not a lot of information regarding these entry level cars other than the only real notable feature were the optional vent windows or at the time called "Ventiplanes". After the 1935 model year, the Series 50 would move in to lead role as Buicks entry level automobile. This particular stately auto has just gone through a nearly $13,000.00 mechanical restoration by a very well qualified shop. This car would have nearly everything mechanical touched including all gauges, electrical and wiring if needed as well. The car was originally restored back in the late 1970's where the paint was changed from Black to the two-tone you see today. Other than a fender needing re-sprayed at some point, the cosmetics are from the 1970's restoration. This car starts, runs and brakes very quietly and smoothly. It can cruise at 70 MPH all day long and is quite comfortable doing it. We sold this car a few years back to the consignor selling the car today. Unfortunately he is not using the car like he had anticipated and is looking for a better home. This is a really cool driver quality car that can be enjoyed immediately. The full mechanical restoration receipts are available upon request.
