About this vehicleThis 1979 MG MGB is an original with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work and is mainly used for weekend drives.Vehicle Details

I have enjoyed this car and put in a significant amount of work to it recently. I hate to see it go, but as it's an older car that requires regular maintancence—which I'm no longer able to do.

Currently, the car will start and run in idle. it sounds beautiful! However, to put the car in gear and drive, I believe it needs a new clutch slave cylinder ($20). The car will drive onto the tow truck for you to tow it to your home.

The paint is original and shows some flaws and cracking throughout. If you love classic cars and a project to tinker around, look no further! We put in a lot of work on this car this past summer to include:

1. Jacked car & drain Differential Fluid, replaced with new fluid.

2. R&R rear brakes & rear axle seals.

3. R&R rear brake line flexible hose & overhauled brake master cylinder.

4. R&R rear and front fuel line filters.

5. Installed new audio speaker cover left door, window handle & mirror.

6. Remove right door interior panel, manufacture & welded in structural reinforcement.

7. Paint welded door panel, installed mirror, reinstalled interior door panel & audio cover.

8. Removed old tires, sand & painted wheel rims both inside & outside

9 Purchased 4 new tires from Sams club and installed on car.

10. Overhauled carburetor.

11. Troubleshot inoperative cooling fans & replaced switch.

12 Replaced both upper & lower water hoses, drained & flushed cooling system

13. Installed carpet in right side foot well

14. Replace spark plugs, points, condenser & plug wires.

15. R&R seats and grease seat rails (left seat rails installed backwards & no bolts in rear).

16.R&R seatbelts.

17. Installed insulation & carpet on deck behind seats.

18. Repacked front outer axle bearings.

19. Replaced steering rack boots, tie rod ends & refilled steering rack fluid. (note steering rack empty of fluid)

20. Drained & replaced gear box fluid.

21. Drained & replaced engine oil & filter.

22. Remove catalytic converter & replace with new manufactured part.

23. R&R muffler/exhaust system. Awaiting parts delivery to complete.

24. Service shocks with fluid.

25. Manufacture & install doubler for damaged trunk lid and painted.

26. Clean, lube & install trunk lid holder.

27. R&R transmission/ engine buffer pads.

28. Reattached fuel tank vent to charcoal canister (dangerous gas was vented to trunk).

29. Remove valve cover, repainted & adjusted valves.

30. Sprayed radio volume knob with antic static fluid, works better, not perfect.

31. Partially repaired trunk lid lock, lid closes & latches, but lock feature does not work.

32. Painted front bumper.

33. Replaced brake servo assembly.

34. Reattached torn convertible top to rear top bar with adhesive.

35. Clean vehicle, touched up paint & polished/waxed.

36. Corrected numerous electrical problems. Fixed most oby cleaning corroded connectors.

37. Fix heater control cable so heater valve would open & close.

38. Carpet installed in trunk.

I believe all the information above is true and accurate. The car is sold as is.
