NEW REDUCED PRICE!  Feel free to submit your reasonable offer.  I'm motivated to sell!!1981 Jeep Scrambler.  This vehicle is in excellent condition inside and out.  The frame is perfect and is actually one of the cleanest I've seen.  The undercarriage is outstanding overall.  Engine bay and interior are all very clean.  The bed is solid but as you can tell from the photos it has some marks from cargo, but no significant dents or damage.  I forgot to get good photos of the seats, but you can see them in the video below.  They're in really nice condition.  This Jeep pegs out the Auto Check reports!!  You can literally hop in this Jeep and drive across the country.  This Jeep was purchased out of Washington and spent all or the majority of it's life in the high desert.  That's why the Jeep is so solid.  The floors are excellent with just minimal surface rust in a couple isolated areas, as shown on the driver side and passenger side floor pan.  Behind the seats and under the roll bar feet (both typically rusted) are as solid as new.  This Jeep was well cared for and it's obvious.  Be sure to check out the video embedded below as it better illustrates the current condition of the Jeep.  There are a couple scratches above the passenger side rear fender well that were filled in with tough up paint.  These areas look like it has just a tiny bit of surface rust, but no evidence of it going through.  Very small, isolated area.Under the hood is the 4-cylinder Iron Duke motor, which is original to the Jeep.  It runs and drives excellent and has surprisingly good power.  You can cruise this Jeep at highway speeds without any issues.  The 4-speed transmission shifts fluidly and the transfer case engages/disengages without any hesitation. This Jeep is believed to originally be an "iron side", which means it came with hard doors and a soft half cab.  Like all the other soft tops, it didn't withstand the test of time and a brand new Bestop full-length soft top has been put on the Jeep.Feel free to call with any questions you may have.  This Jeep is priced aggressively and if you're looking at this listing you know good, solid Scramblers are becoming very almost impossible to find. Most of the really good ones are selling north of 40k these days....who woulda thought!?  Keep this Jeep and enjoy as-is, or swap out the Iron Duke with a V8 (either 304 or LS) as it's a perfect candidate for that. The bad - radio seems to power on but speakers not working.  Turn signal switch faulty when using the right indicator (need to replace switch, easy job).  Windshield glass has a couple small chips.  Probably forgetting something small but doing the best I can to disclose what I knowPayment expected within 2 business days of auction completion.  Deposit due immediately upon accepted offer.  After purchase I can provide you with my shipper's contact information if you need help with that.  I believe this Jeep will make the drive to anywhere in the country so if you're up for the adventure, fly in, I'll pick you up from the Tucson airport, and you can drive your new Jeep home.  Call with any questions 520-789-0875.  Get approval from the wife prior to submitting an offer so we don't play the "my wife says no" game after you click the button. Thanks for looking!!
