1964 Lincoln Continental

For sale is a stand alone custom 1964 Lincoln Continental convertible.  This show winner has been completely taken apart, modified, and built with multiple one off details to the body, suspension, drivetrain, and interior.  A gorgeous example of an iconic American luxury vehicle from an earlier period!  The following are some highlights of this exceptional Lincoln. Part of my private collection for 12 years, first time being offered. Car was also featured in Street Rodder July 2014. Third party inspections welcome, transport is sole responsibility of buyer. A deposit of $1000 is required within 24 hours of listing ending.  Questions can be emailed through eBay, scbt @ windstream.net or 210-863-8106--Steve.BODY:  The engine compartment includes all areas being smoothed including moving a smoothed firewall forward to make room for Vintage Air under the dash, out of sight.  All body seams and reveals are perfect, rear wheel well lips are rolled smooth, stainless trim has been removed for smooth lines and factory hood modified with a scoop from 64 Ranchero, perfect proportions!  Glass has been replaced, new rubber and seals used in assembly.  All chrome has been refinished, stainless has been professionally finished, and factory lights with NOS lens installed.  Car is painted in black with all areas under hood finished in same quality and color.  Interior body parts  are finished in a Daytona sand color to match leather.SUSPENSION: Factory rear end features custom built 4-link system accommodating Ride Tech air ride bags and shocks.  Unibody construction throughout car solid with no structural change due to rust!  Front end is all Ride Tech air ride as well with all new steering components including crankshaft driven power steering unit.  Factory sway bar with new bushings, A-arms rebuilt and modified for bags with Ride Tech shocks.  All plumbing is completed with aluminum hard lines. Braking is handled with one off Wilwood 15" disk up front and 10" at the rear. Wheels are Budnik 22" x 10.5 at rear and 22" x 9" in the front with Continental brand tires.DRIVETRAIN:  Factory number matching 430 MEL rebuilt at 10 over with stock internals and balanced. Transmission is the original factory 3-speed automatic rebuilt with all new parts. Factory rear end has been rebuilt with original ratio ring/pinion. New fuel tank with all new fuel lines supplies a 600 CFM Holley. All lines/hoses have been hidden as much as possible including AC equipment. Cooling is provided with B-cool aluminum radiator and (2) electric fans. Exhaust is a ceramic chrome finish 2 1/2" custom system featuring no visible welds. Distributor is a single wire unit specially machined when car was being built.  INTERIOR:  Finished in a Daytona Sand leather, interior is truly amazing!  Car is equipped with a bucket seat option, one of only 240/280 produced including sedans with this option, VERY RARE. Bucket seats are heated with rear seat design matching front.  Dash, console, kick panels, door panels, rear area components, and steering wheel all finished in same leather. Carpet, seat belts, and body parts finished in matching color.  Trunk area has been completed with full carpet and leather cover. Winner of multiple interior awards, perfection with every stitch!  Convertible top is high end black cloth, is in perfect condition, and functions as required. ISCA, GoodGuys, Mag 7 finalist and numerous other shows.LITERATURE:  Included with car is an owners manual, shop manual, several articles and a top design system banner. Stretch satin car cover is also included.  No trades, new project underway.
