1957 MGA ROADSTER

Selling my family's original MGA Roadster which has been in the family for many years. It's a very nice and cool car as you can see in the photos. They rarely become available in this condition and that's why we got it a number of years ago.

I was driving it around at the beginning of the pandemic and since then it's been 100% of the time in the garage. It ran and drove fine. I have not put a fresh battery in it (it will definitely need one) and fuel is now old.

Tires are very old but have not had much sun exposure because it's been indoors for years, but I would not recommend flying in and expecting to jump in the driver's seat without getting a battery, replacing tires and other maintenance/safety items. I have to say that for liability reasons but literally if it were me actually buying (again) I would probably fly in and drive it home. 

Comes with side windows and a soft top frame. The top material is well worn (this is a maintenance item).

Engine runs cool and smooth. 

Although there is no maintenance paperwork to substantiate what the previous owner told me, many years ago when we bought the MGA I documented what he told me which is that he said at the time that the engine, transmission, carbs, starter and brakes were all rebuilt.   And I was able to basically visually confirm that and all those systems seemed like they were redone and good as there were indicators noted.

Doesn't leak fluids.

Was resprayed many years ago in its original color.

Some minor dents, scratches and rust bubbling starting here and there as expected on the body especially and some edges of a nearly 65 year old car, none on frame or floor -- that's the important stuff.

$500 deposit is due via PayPal immediately within 24 hours of agreed price on eBay or completed eBay auction.

Remainder of agreed price or completed eBay auction price is due within 7 days

Payment shall be via bank wire transfer only, not cash in-person or checks of any kind, including no bank or "official" or "cashier's" checks.

For transport I can get preferred pricing, and handle that part for you if you wish, or I also have an excellent international car shipping broker to recommend, handling transport and customs clearance and paperwork, etc.

You can take up to 60 days to pick it up or get it transported out but be advised I am going on summer vacation for about 28 days starting about 10 days after the auction ends. If you are picking it up within that window I can probably leave the keys with the neighbor for you to pick it up or otherwise have them turn off the alarm and open the garage for a transport to pick it up or for me to have it transported to the Port of Miami. If for some reason the neighbor is also on vacation when you want to pick it up then you my have to wait for me to get back if you don't pick it up within 10 days of the auction ending
