A rare automatic model MGB GT. This car was restored in the early 2000's by the previous owner and was resprayed in MG Nightfire Red which looks fabulous with the powder coated wire wheels. The following work has been carried out:Resprayed in MG Nightfire Red, powder coated wire wheels - 2003Engine rebuilt to standard size bores, and unleaded head - 2007Borg Worner 35 gearbox re-built - 2007New steering rack - 2007New shock absorbers all round - UnknownNew oil cooler - 2018New ignition system & alternator - 2020In the past 8 years that I've owned the car it's been dry stored and run regularly to keep everything well lubricated.Unfortunately whilst the car looks great in photos the paintwork is starting to show its age with bubbles of rust on the wings and micro blisters on the bonnet and roof.The car has a very solid chassis that requires no metal work (which is why I bought the car) but would need a partial respray to get it to top condition.I had planned to convert the car to a 5 speed manual (I have a ford type 9 conversion that was ready to go in) but a racecar project is taking priority over this so its time for it to move on to a new owner.Mechanically the car is sound, engine is strong, carbs have been rebuilt and professionally setup, points replaced, new ignition coil and alternator.The engine and gearbox were both rebuilt by the previous owner. The engine runs strongly but unfortunately the 2nd gear has stopped engaging recently, this could be the isolator switch but as it stands you have to manually shift the auto gearbox from 1st to 3rd speed avoiding 2nd.Any further questions feel free to ask
