1965 Buick Riviera-One of the premier Muscle Car/Luxury Cars Ever!
This 1965 Buick Riviera is one of the most popular and coveted Buicks of all time. This classy design features the "clam shell" hide-a-way headlights and sleek body lines from the pointed front edges of the fenders to the trailing edges of the tail. This chassis has only 92k miles on it but the engine has only 6600 miles on it since mechanical restoration. The combination of brute muscle and luxurious elegance is capsuled into one magnificent car. To many. the 65 is the pinnacle of this combination. After this year. the Riviera began leaning into luxury vehicle market.

Same Owner Family since New. The kind of history picky collectors require.
The last owner of the car is the nephew of the original owner. This nephew was the "car kid" in the family and of course became his uncle's favorite. This boy spent many years hanging out with his favorite uncle and his car. helping with fixing it up for hours at a time. The original owner decided to have the car restored back in 1989. The exterior and the interior were both restored along with chrome. bright work. electronics and general functionality were the focus during this 1st restoration. the car still had very low miles and did not require mechanical repairs at the time. Both uncle and nephew were present at this time. Years later this kid ends up owning this special car he had grown up with. By then he had become a successful business man. he decides to restore the only parts that had been untouched since new. The engine. transmission. rear end. suspension. brakes and any other mechanical part that needed to be replaced or restored. He rebuilt the 425 ci engine using all Grand Sport Edition parts and all the best performance parts money could buy. Of course all the rest of the running gear was professionally rebuilt during this time period. This occurred in the mid 2000's. 2004-2006. We have all receipts on this work as well as many from the earlier restoration. Over $20. 00 spent on the mechanical inspection alone.
The Car Today.
With only 6600 miles on the recent mechanical restoration. the car is one of the nicest driving 65 Riviera's out there and ready to be driven anywhere. It is fully operational. The body is still in outstanding shape. Very little wear on the exterior since the 1st restoration as it was stored inside and pampered. Also all chrome. glass. trim. etc. is very nice. The interior also looks like it did after the 1st restoration. The car was used sparingly since the first restoration was completed. The headlights are not working currently. They can be opened and closed manually. We also have the contact information for a company that has a new aftermarket kit available with new motor and all hardware for about $700.
