Assembled at Chrysler's Lynch Road factory in Detroit, Michigan (code 1), this car is ready for driving enjoyment. Finished in Black (code B), with red Rumblebee stripes in the rear, the paint and trim are in overall very good order. The body is straight and the chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body. The trunk area is clean yet spartan, complete with full-sized white stripe spare tire and wheel and the engine bay is extremely tidy. This big cruiser rolls on Douglas all-season radials, size 215/70R15 at all four corners. Each tire is mounted onto a Cragar alloy wheels. The tires and wheels are all in very good order. The previous owner reported that the engine was rebuilt and is a Magnum 383 CID V-8 engine {dated 4-6-70} with the following parts - electronic ignition, new Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, new headers with 2 ½” dual exhaust system and a mini starter. The motor is bolted to a rebuilt 727 TorqueFlite 8 three-speed automatic transmission and backed by an 8 ¾” rear end. Driver convenience features include power steering. All of the brakes have been gone through with new lines, it has a good and tight front end, a new gas tank, new shock absorbers. All chrome is very nice with new front and rear bumpers, all good stainless and a very nice front grill. The black vinyl interior (code H4X) is also very clean and nice with new carpet and headliner while the dashboard is clean. The front bench seat, which is split to allow access to the rear bench seat, looks great, as does the rear bench. A three-spoke steering wheel faces the driver while the dashboard and inner door panel are all in good, original order. An aftermarket trio of gauges, oil pressure, coolant temperature and battery voltage hang out beneath the dash. A column-mounted shift lever and a factory AM radio round out the interior. Competition to this Coronet in 1967 included Buick's Electra 225 Sport Coupe, Chrysler's Newport Coupe, Mercury's Monterey Coupe, Oldsmobile's 98 Holiday Coupe and Pontiac's Catalina Coupe.A classic Mopar coupe that is clean and ready for driving is available at MotoeXotica Classic Cars.
