1970 Plymouth GTX factory equipped with a Hemi-box (18-spline) 4-speed transmission and a Pistol-Grip Hurst shifter and backed with a Dana 60 rear-end with a 3. 73 Richmond gear.    This GTX has been restored to the highest level and restored to last.   This was not just a cosmetic restoration.   This vehicle was restored with all new or rebuilt components so it is like brand new.    The vehicle was placed on a rotisserie and sand-blasted to bare metal and then coated with PPG Epoxy primer as the base to all body work needed.    The only rust that was in the vehicle when restoration began was a quarter size spot on the LT quarter at the top of the wheel opening. the RT quarter behind the wheel at the bottom. and the rear glass lower window corners.    The rust was removed completely and new panels put into place by a professional restoration specialist.    The trunk pan had a hole cut over the sending unit at some time and the pan was replaced keeping the factory spot welds.
The vehicle was finished in PPG Concept line products in a Single-stage Urethane and the color was matched to be exactly as the tone was from the factory.    All black trim and suspension components were finished in the correct colors and the correct degree of gloss for each item.   The body and paint are flawless and perfect.   All the trim on the vehicle was sent off to Nashville to be redone to perfection including all pot-metal items.
The interior has a rare geometric cloth insert and is a bench seat up front which was only offered as an option for the 1970 model.      Legendary supplied all the interior including new door panels. handles. carpet. seat covers. etc. (cloth inserts were NOS that Lengandary located for me).   The interior was installed by a custom interior specialist in my area with over 50 years of experience.
The engine was rebuilt using a . 20 bore and new Keith Black pistons for a total of 10. 5:1 compression.   The block is not a numbers matching block as the original motor threw a rod in 1972 which was the last time it was on the road until restoration was completed in late 2008.   The original intake. exhaust manifolds (not installed). nbsp; air-cleaner as well as the transmission and rear-end are the exact ones that came with this vehicle.   The heads were completely rebuilt using the 2. 14/1. 88 valves and mildly ported and have roller rockers.    The cam is a Comp Cams kit with a 284 duration and a . 525 lift and sounds like beast while remaining a stock appearance with the headers (I have the original exhaust manifolds and exhaust minus mufflers that are brand new from year-one and will go will go with the vehicle if wanted).    The transmission was rebuilt using a Brewers Performance kit & installed by a Mopar transmission technician.   The Rear end was rebuilt by a differential specialist using all new parts and has a 3. 73 gear (original was a 3. 54).   The plug wires. belts. etc are from year-one and have the correct part number/date codes and all brake lines and fuel lines were replaced using stainless from year-one.   The vehicle currently has Boyd Coddington wheels and a lowered stance.   The rest of the vehicle is as it was from the factory.
This vehicle has had mostly all new nuts/bolts installed as each new part went on.    The restoration was a 4 year project. over 2. 00 hours. and a lot of money.    This vehicle cannot be restored for the amount of my reserve.   This vehicle is of the upmost quality and is for serious buyers only.    A Mopar restored to this quality will fetch 6 figures at Barrett-Jackson all day long.   To the best of my knowledge this is one of 88 Lemon Twist Yellow 4-speed GTX's that were built and far more less than that with a bench seat up front with a 4-speed transmission.
I do have the original build sheet and has been laminated to protect it.    The vehicle was equipped from the factory with the following options:
Air-Grabber hood        Hemi-Box 4-speed        Pistol-Grip hurst shifter        Bench Seat        14" Wheel Covers         Side stripes - Day Glow        The hood stripes were a dealer performed option        Rally Dash        Dana 60 rear end with 3. 54 gears        AM/FM stereo          FY1 Lemon Twist Yellow paint - High Impact colors were special order

The history of the vehicle is known since the original owner had the vehicle in Indiana and vehicle ended up in Onieda TN in 1972 with a blown motor where it was purchased by my father in 1973 and was kept in a garage unseen from 1979-2002 and has a little over 39. 00 original miles on the vehicle and around 500 miles since restoration was completed.
I have over $56. 00 in receipts for parts or services alone and does not include the original price of the vehicle. traded services. or the more than 2. 00 hours spent on the restoration.    You will not be disappointed and this is a great investment especially with my reserve price being set to what it is.    Shipping is the buyers responsibility.

It is misstated in the video that this vehicle is numbers matching.     The Motor is not the correct motor as the original was blown up in 1973.
