For sale is my 1961 Frogeye Sprite. in Nevada Beige.
The last but one owner had this car for 45 years. from Oct 1968 to Nov 2012!
It was last on the road in 1985!
It has been stored really well and is in great condition. There is no major rust and I don't think any welding is needed anywhere.
This car could either be lightly recommissioned (mainly just refurbishing the brakes) and used as it is. or you could completely restore it.
The whole shell is solid. There has been a respray many years ago and it has been protected underneath.
The engine is a 1098 cc. with what looks like the original SU twin carbs. It has the original rev counter driven from the alternator.
The engine starts first time and runs well. It has just had new oil. leads and plugs.
Underneath everything looks very solid. The rust around the bottom of the bonnet is just surface rust and it is not rusted through.
The interior looks fantastic and original. The seats are original and in great condition (there is just some damage to the backs which you cant see when the seats are in there normal position).
It comes with the hood and side screens.
I bought this on a whim with a view to restoring it. but I don't have the time so I have to sell it. rather than leave it gathering dust.
It is the original number plate. It comes with the original buff Log Book. plus the new one in my name. It also comes with the Heritage Certificate.
