1965 Ford Mustang Convertible The car you are bidding on is a very, very early `65 (build date 3/22/65) but not a `64½. It is equipped with a 289 c.i. V-8, 2 barrel carb with P/S, Cruise-O-Matic, Dual Range A/T, and power top. I'm the second owner, buying it in 1978 and put a new top on it in May 1979, keeping the top up for one week as per manufacture's recommendation and then the top was not put up again until the pictures taken this October. The car was always garaged with the full tonneau cover and a car cover and only driven during the summer and to car shows. I restored the car in 2014 including interior, trunk, and paint with the original 1965 Mustang color, Medium Gray Metallic and currently has 79,298 original miles on it. The car is completely stock except for the Pertronix Ignitor distributor and the AM/FM cassette player with a Mustang logo set up for a MP 3 player cord in he glove box, kick panel speakers and a tri-cone dash speaker. The original radio and dash speaker worked fine and comes with the car along with the Owners Manual, Shop Manual, full zippered tonneau cover and bag, convertible boot cover, pads, and bag, car cover, radio manual, and Pertronix Ignitor electronic distributer info sheets.
