LOWERED THE PRICE TO BOTTOM LINE, WANT IT GONE ASAP, NEED MY GARAGE SPACE BACK, WOULD PREFER IT WAS GONE BY THE END OF THIS MONTH, OR FIRST WEEK OF NEXT MONTH. SERIOUSbuyers INQUIREwithin.OR have fun bidding! 1988 GMC Jimmy (Blazer) K 5, 350 TBI, 700 r 4 Auto, 4 X 4, 2.73 geared MPG machine! =) Unfinished Restoration rolling project, that needs some one with the skill and motivation to finish it. Here is your chance to have this K 5 for a fraction of the potential value. Recent Death in the family prompts sale. The Loss of my beloved Mom, has caused me to re-evaluate things. Time for the unfinished projects to be gone, so I can get back to fixing the important things, namely the house. Want to get this K 5 gone by the end of this Month. Have a lot to take care of, and this truck is now something I will have no time for. Plus, I just need the garage space back again! =/Mom is no longer here, so my goal of taking her for a ride in this truck, while she was still of the flesh, will never happen. =( So, time for my "Betsy" to find a new home, she has been a good truck for me, but, she has sat waiting patiently in the garage, more often than not. She needs a another loving owner, who will finish her to her former glory. This truck, is one of the cleanest you will find. We have already done 60%, or better, of the body work for you. This was all done by myself, and One friend, with a combined lifetime of at least 70 years combined experience...you can rest assured, what we did, we did right. The stuff NOT DONE BY ME...i take no credit or ridicule for. =) Why the restoration? you might ask. The truck suffered from previous AMATEUR ownership, and a paint job of equal experience. Apparently, someone in Betsy' past, took her into the woods, got her driver side rocker-panel stuck on a rock or stone...then rocked the truck off of it...and rolled back and damaged the Driver's lower rear quarter too. The body panels are virtually rust free, and there is an EXCELLENT hood included, which also came from a VERY clean 1988 Truck. The fenders have been done, ready for blocking, all primer is three layered, with self etching, sealer, and then heavy epoxy filler primer. The passenger side is ready for color blocking, other than a few tiny dents on that door worth fixing. The driver side needs an experienced body many to finish the rocker and lower door jamb. All the cab squaring points were checked, and measured against a real GM TRUCK BODY SHOP MANUAL...the cab is straight and square to within 1 mm. The floor has been corrected, now the lower outer rocker, lower door jamb, and lower rear quarter need to be completed. At least one new outer rocker panel is in the parts pile, but I believe I have TWO included actually. Have an ATTIC FULL of parts that go with the truck, the truck itself is packed full, including an extra door, and the original chrome bumpers. 90% of the truck is here, it needs someone dedicated to the cause, to finish her back to her former glory, I need to move on with life, have had Betsy for close to ten years already, time for her to find a new home. =) The original TBI fuel supply system is still on the truck. I WAS going to go back to carburetor, but, if you want to stay TBI, and or add aftermarket TBI, then you are all set, all the stock TBI wiring is still in place, and the engine wiring harness should be in one of the parts boxes...I know...because I saw it when I was taking over a 100+ pictures of the truck, and all the parts. So, if you want to see more pictures of truck or parts, hit the ASK SELLER A QUESTION button to contact me. Most of the top end of the engine will need to be replaced with parts of your choice, the short block is the ORIGINAL TO THE TRUCK. The rest of the engine parts were not going to be used over, I will include anything I find that I still have. This truck WAS going to get the equivalent of a ZZ 4 rebuild treatment to the engine. However, do to the lack of interest in my formerly reserved price, I have decided to keep all the new engine parts for myself, and just sell the truck AS I, ROLLING PROJECT, with all the truck parts I have that are not new parts for the engine. So, you are on your own for finishing the engine, but, the block is the oem block, it has never been bored, and it can be EASILY converted to a full roller valve-train. This truck has the interim block, which came between the TBI, and the Spider injector era. Which means it came with a flat tappet cam, but it's really a ROLLER block. So, you can run a roller cam setup, AND still have a mechanical fuel pump if you want to run a carburetor the old school way. =) The boss for the fuel pump is not blocked off, like the later EFI blocks. This block, is 3.995" bore, which means it is STOCK, and can be honed if you want, or given a light overbore to be made true again if needed. This is the last of the good blocks folks, not many of them left out there in this sort of untouched condition. You can bring her back to her former glory, as basically the COVER PAGE TRUCK of the 1988 GMC K 5 OWNER'S MANUAL, if you wanted to =)...or...you can build your own Resto-Mod truck? your own Bug-Out truck? OVERLANDER? 4 x 4? rock-crawler? What ever floats your off road goals for you, so be it! =) This truck is basically a diamond in the rough, waiting to be finished and polished. These trucks now AVERAGING thirty FIVEgrand, in restored condition, on some of the price tracking websites. This is your chance to score big basically, get it now, and fix it how you want it, and someday it could literally be worth 10 times what you paid for it here. =) This truck did 24.5 mpg the day I bought her, and drove her home about 150 miles. This truck was specially optioned with a unique combination of having the 350 tbi V 8, the 700 R 4 4 x 4 heavy duty transmission, with 208? transfer case if I recall, AND....it has 2.73 gearing in the axles. Yes, i said that, 2.73! This truck was MADE for the open road, it loves road trips! =) She needs to be gone thru end to end, and put back in working order. My goal was to improve on what GMC did, and created the first 30 mpg K 5 Blazer! =)....maybe YOU are the man for that job? or maybe you just want to finish this K 5 the way YOU want it? which ever works for you, this is the deal you have been waiting for! =) I can help arrange for shipping, but since my former reserve price was not met, I will not longer be contributing to the cost of shipping. YOU the BUYER, will be responsible for all shipping costs incurred. Otherwise, bring an ample truck, and a big trailer, with plenty of room for the PARTS BOXES...so we don't have to pack the K 5 like a sardine can. That is how things get broken during transport. National Auto Transport was pretty good for me in the past, but that was a decade ago. If you want to make all your own shipping arrangements, that is fine. First we handle the payment, CERTIFIED CASHIERS CHECK preferred. Full, or partial Deposit, via Ppal is fine too. If you are local, then CASHin PERSON is preferred. I can USPS PRIORITY EXPRESS over-night the title, after full payment has been received. Then, we can get someone here, and i will help load. Really need a WINCHED trailer, and or professional car hauler, that can just use the tail gate to load the truck. This K 5 does not run, and is being sold for parts, and or to complete as a restoration. This is not a running vehicle, and you will have to HAUL it home. Thanks for looking, and have fun bidding! =) Images
