About this vehicleThis 1963 Dodge Polara is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.Seller's NotesThis vehicle has no warranties, and is sold where is as is. The car has a clean clear title in MY NAME, I'm not a flipper, dealer, or broker, or any of these who've helped drag our hobby into the gutter. I rarely sell any of my vintage vehicles, but when and if I do, the vehicle is mine, I own it, and the the vehicle is always stored inside at my home garage, shop, or my building in town. I've never had an issue when selling a vintage car….question please call. Thanks Vehicle Details

1963 Dodge Polara Convertible

I'm posting / listing / offering my 1963 Dodge Polara Convertible, I don't really want to sell the Dodge but I have an opportunity to buy a vintage shop truck I once owned, and I simply don't have the room fit everything! My wife's Mustang is scattered across my small shop, plus additional parts, pieces, engines, so with a heavy heart I've made the decision to let someone else enjoy this incredible MoPar!

The early B bodies like this car are impossible to find because they've long gone cross the ocean! Without further rambling here are the details on this little ‘63 Polara Convertible…

The Polara was ordered from Dana Bros Chrysler/Dodge/Dodge Trucks Tempe, Az. where the car remained with the original owner, an Arizona State University employee, until late 80's when the car was sold and went to San Bernardino. A Boeing Engineer bought the car and was transferred to Michigan for a couple years, where he sold the car to a fellow employee in Tennessee. The Polara has always been stored inside, and carefully maintained. Up until around 2003ish a real die hard MoPar enthusist was looking for a 1963 Polara to build for a driver to enjoy driving to car shows cross country, long hauls, long distance shows, etc etc such as Hot Rod Reunions in Bakersfield, and Bowling Green, various MoPar Shows. He was once pretty well known, within MoPar circles, having cars previously built in several publications, (a 1966 Coronet, 1967 Belvedere II, in Muscle Car Review, various MoPar Mags, and other events and publications. He told me he built the ‘63 Polara to drive, keeping it all period, but the car had many subtle mods to make it a better more comfy Mopar to drive anywhere! I've owned this car several times since it's been done, it's one of those that you really miss when your want to drive a few hours, with modern amenities such as vintage air heat defrost, (hidden), not to mention crowds gathering quickly, at shows, cruises, or even at the local gas station in town. It's cool, it's got the look, and folks like it because its different, not like every other cookie cutter car out there not to mention these cars ruled the racetracks in 1963!

The following are the specs….

400 BIg Block Chrysler built to run pump gas and push 300 HP (it's more than needed trust me), parts from Mancini Racing

727 Push Button Torque Flight

8.3/4 MoPar Diff 2:91 gears (long haul, think Hot Rod Power Tour at 20mpg)

70-80 plus on freeways!

Vintage Air Cond and Heat works thru the original air outlets. Soooo cool!

All Original sheet metal tabs can be seen in photo

Original interior under the covers

All Original MoPar factory tinted glass with (Foward Look Logo) that was still in use til mid 1963

including original Frost Temp decal the factory installed on the assembly line in 1963!

Max Wedge torsion Springs from Mancini Racing, (we spent hours in getting this stance swapping torsion bars in front and leaf springs rear until we nailed it), you won't see to many MoPars with the look or sitting with a cool stance, it's a lot of work on these cars!

Now this car isn't perfect, it's by far nicer than most cars for sale these days, and it will drive anywhere without issue!

I encourage anyone serious about this car call

470-446-4248, I've got hundreds of photos, videos of drives running 80 on interstates again I will send any additional video photo or whatever to serious inquiries

Let's use our heads, I'm not going to sell this car for a ridiculously low amount of $$ so please don't waste our time with silly offers, I won't respond to it. Please if you have more than one feedback or NO feedback YOU NEED to CALL FIRST before you bid! It's simple, I' don't have time for scams!

I will work with your shippers, I have met them at the shopping plaza about a mile from me many times, in fact Reliable Auto Shippers, Intercity, Horseless Carriage, and Passport, all deliver and pick up frequently at the same Wally World shopping plaza, (I live within a 30 miles of several award winning Hot Rod builders, shops, and Porsche Specialist LLC if your into vintage cars these are all household names, and many times they use the same shopping center! Just saying I'm in an easy location to get to, and I'm happy to make the transaction easier once payment in full has been cleared Thanks
