Please read the full description below and view the photographs carefully.I will try to describe this vehicle accurately and honestly, however it is highly recommended to inspect in person before purchasing. No concessions or refunds will be given for failure to do so.1950 Buick4 door "Deluxe, tour-back sedan"Model 41D248 cubic inch, Straight 8 engine with 3 speed column shift manual transmission.Rare factory right hand drive.. Assembled in Flint Michigan and delivered to the Australian market.(Note the factory RHD stamp on the build plate) Stunning "waterfall grill", (the only year model Buick where the grill teeth wrap down over the front bumper). I have owned this Buick for over 20 years, It has been much loved and cared for, I really never thought I'd be letting her go.. but she's seen little use over the past decade when I've been working abroad and also since buying my 2 door.. I have many other projects in the pipeline... so instead of gathering dust in the shed, it's time to pass this one on for the next custodian to enjoy...  Older amateur restoration which still presents nicely. Definitely not a concourse condition "show car", but always turns heads and attracts attention wherever she go's, would be at home cruising or on display at any of your local car shows.. This Buick was completely stripped bare, repainted and retrimmed about 18 years ago, new front windshields, new toughened side glass, new rubbers and baily channels were installed at the time. 2 pak "Brilliant black" paintjob applied and interior retrimmed in a beautiful deep burgundy "leather grain" vinyl. The engine also underwent an overhaul with a re-bore, new pistons, rings, new big ends and the head converted with hardened valve seats to run on unleaded fuel, gearbox serviced with all new bearings and seals throughout. The vehicle retains mostly stock specifications, however a few subtle modifications have been done to improve drivability including, Radial tyres, Conversion to 12 volt electrical system, "Pertronix" electronic ignition module installed under the distributor cap and "flamethrower" coil, VH44 remote brake booster, larger 2.5" aluminized exhaust system, Toughened glass side windows, high volume 3 core aluminum radiator, CD player mounted in glovebox, heavy duty lowered coil springs in rear (lowers rear of car about 2".. I can supply the stock springs with the sale if desired).20 years later and she still drives and presents well, It has always been garaged, well maintained and only really used for club runs, local trips around Brisbane and occasionally to the sunshine or gold coast..  The body is straight and rust free. Up close, the paintwork is starting to show it's age with some small scratches, blistering and defects in places, it still shines up nicely and looks great from a few paces away, but any potential buyer should be aware that it's not perfect... The stainless steel moldings and chrome are in original decent condition, they have a few minor dents and scratches and some pitting in places... they are not "show condition" but still shine up nicely for a driver considering the age.. The gearbox does whine a bit in first but it does not affect the operation.. this is fairly normal for the Buick synchromesh transmissions of this era. (I've owned 5 of them and they all do it). Recent compression test on engine indicated good compression with all 8 cylinders equal and within spec.. a vacuum gauge test indicated a strong and steady manifold vacuum reading on idle. The vehicle has had the floor pans replaced and/or patched by a previous owner at some stage in the past.. Repairs are inconspicuous, still solid and rust free (as is the rest of the car).. The undercarriage is painted and reasonably tidy as are the rest of the mechanical components.. I've always tried to keep things clean and tidy on this car..    In my honest opinion I would rate the condition of this car as several notches higher than what what normally be considered "driver condition" however opinions vary so inspection is highly recommended.  I've used it as a wedding car for friends and family on multiple occasions and always get requested to do special events with it.. Ultimately it's a 70 year vehicle which drives and handles accordingly so don't expect a high performance machine.. once again, not a "show car" but in nice reasonable condition considering her age.. As with all vintage vehicles, a new custodian with mechanical knowledge and aptitude will be advantageous as these old girls do require regular upkeep and maintenance to keep them in good running order..  Hoping she will find good home and will definitely be sad to see her go...    Recent tidy up mechanical works include -Recently serviced with all fluids replacedBrand new tyresWheel alignmentNew brake "wheel cylinders" and hoses New clutch plate and heavy duty pressure plate installedRemanufactured water pump and new radiator hoses installedNew 3 core aluminum radiator installedRenewal of manifold gaskets and all exhaust flange gasketsNew distributor cap and distributor leadsNew sealed beam headlightsNew rear shock links installedNew sway bar bushes to front endVehicle is located In Brisbane Northside, Currently registered on QLD club registration which is non transferable, so new owner will be responsible for transport and re registration.. I can possibly help with delivery within the Brisbane metro area, but will depend on my workload at the time..  A $1000 non refundable deposit will be required immediately upon purchase, with the remainder of payment required before or upon pickup of vehicle. Timely pickup preferred unless otherwise arranged with myself..    This is a private sale and no warranties are implied or given..  Please contact me with any questions or to arrange an inspection.. I can also provide additional photographs if required.I would kindly request serious enquiries only as I'm pretty snowed under with work at the moment..Thank you for your interest..RegardsJim
