1982 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ42 classic 4x4 40 series landcruiser

3rd or 4th time of listing this ad....I've had timewasters but no one made it to actually look at the truck....not one! I've dropped the price but after spending nearly 11k on it, I don't want to drop it more. It's priced under what I believe to be the average price for these in this condition after watching ebay for a few years, but I'm happy to talk if you can tell me otherwise. CheersUp for sale again is my LHD 1982 bj42 with 3.4l 3b diesel. Had intended to keep this truck to drive now and do a full restoration down the line, but an extensive house renovation is taking all my time. I'm the second owner in the UK, V5 in my name. MOT'd in April, 2 minor advisories. You can check the history online using the reg. MOT and Tax exempt next year. 1000's spent since my ownership. 4 x new Hankook Dynapro mud tyres on oem split rims. Front knuckles fully overhauled with all new gaskets, bearings, new rotors, new calipers.New heater tap, new glow plugs, cooling system flushed, fuel tank flushed. all filters replaced, new v belt. New twin batteries (24v system) New front and rear diff pinion seals with new fluids. New prop shaft UJ and bearings. New towing electrics. Recent rear brakes. New rear axle seals and hub seal and studs.Comes with some spares and an original swing out spare wheel carrier I've not fitted yet. The spare wheel is just a normal modern steel wheel and non matching tyre. It fires up with a flick of the key every time and sounds great. Great fun to drive, always gets lots of interest. It has front disk brakes, is a 4 speed manual and does not have a turbo ( as it was from the factory)Everything works as it should other than the rear spot light, oil pressure gauge and odometer (shows 186410 km). Has a heater fitted so can be used all year round. The chassis has been waxoyled or similar and will need redoing, but there is very little surface rust on the chassis and it has not been welded, so is in great condition for a truck this age. It was at some point refurbished and resprayed with a replacement aluminium tub (maybe Teseven though unsure) so it's not painted over filler like some of these are. I've just had to rejoin a section of flexi pipe on the exhaust but most of it will need replacing asap. This age vehicle is obviously going to have some quirks so please come a look at it if you are able to, I'll gladly take you for a spin and show you around the truck. I'm very honest so will answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. Please don't waste my time with silly offers.I have the nova documents and identification from the Toyota enthusiasts club with VIN no. decoding and have kept receipts for all the spares I've purchased.
