Here up for sale, my Mercedes 230E W123 automatic, 1984. 79,000 miles, New MOT, 2 keys.Owned by myself since 2019 and used as a daily commuter throughout the dry seasons aswell as a few long journeys, never missed a beat. Great to drive, everything is tight, plenty of power and very comfortable. Lovely metallic olive green with light tan interior, attracts a lot of admirers.Interior is immaculate as can be seen in photos, no rips or stains, original carpets etc. All electrics work as they should. Aftermarket 'period' looking cd/usb head unit fitted. I still have the original factory blaupunkt fitted when I got the car which is in working order, this is included in the sale. After market custom fit speakers which replace tired originals like for like fitted, electric ariel.Webasto sunroof in perfect working order and leak free.Bodywork and paint very good, no laquer peel or dull patches, dent/ding free. All bright work is good.Small amount of rust bubbling on lower corners of rear screen, has been like this since I got the car and hasn't got any worse, also rust bubbling at very lower corner of rear arches about the size of a10p piece, was planning on getting this addressed but never got round to it and is very minor. I have photos of affected areas and can send them to you if you contact me.Lots of work carried out during my ownership:4 new Uniroyal rainmax tyresNew windscreen ( due to small crack )New rear brake discs, pads, inboard handbrake shoes and calipersNew rear shock absorbers and springsNew rear anti-roll bar bushes and linksNew front lower suspension armsAll steering ball joints replaced and trackedNew exhaust down pipeAll new exhaust rubbersNew Bosch fuel pump and filter, all rubber hoses replacedNew propshaft centre bearingNew batteryNew alternatorAll drive belts replacedNew camshaft and spray barNew timing chainAll ignition parts replaced with Bosch, plugs, leads, rotor, cap and coilMajor service including transmission oil + filter, diff oil, engine oil + filter, pas oil, brake fluid and coolant all changedAll dashboard illumination bulbs changedUnderside is solid and rust free, previous repairs to front and rear of sills carried to very high standard and only visible to the trained eye. Please ignore the 280E badge on the boot, it is a 230E however the original badge was tatty (which I still have) and I had a 280 one in the shed.MOT until April 2022 with no advisories although I will get a new MOT this week. This is my 4th W123 and I have always regretted selling the previous one and eventually end up buying another. So here we go again!Had 2 great summers in this one and covered many trouble free miles and its time to let it go. I have many other cars/projects on the go and an unsympathetic wife.Surprisingly good on fuel for a big car returning around 30ish mpg. Also has the benefit of becoming a 'historic vehicle' in just over 2 years which will make it MOT and tax exempt.Unsure how the E10 fuel will affect this vehicle, was sorned end of September and I used the more expensive E5 for the month prior to that as matter of precaution.Any questions or to view please call Graeme on 07765412715. If for any reason I do not answer please leave a message and I WILL call you back. Thanks for looking.
