I am reluctantly putting my beloved MG Midget up for sale due to a change in circumstances and garage space which is unavailable for yet another year. Agides (named after a 70's race horse) my 1972 round wheel arch MG, build date 10th-12th May. He is a bit different to others as he not only a 1972 round wheel arch he also has the much sought after Gan5 engine, he also originally came off the production line with his wire wheels and in the rare colour Aqua, virtually unseen these days.  All his numbers for engine, chassis etc all match so he has not had an engine change etc, unfortunately when I purchased him someone had already removed his original interior which was navy and the hood which originally was black.  He has a pinstriped hood at the moment very unusual I have not seen another like it, it needs repairing and can have the plastic windows replaced to restore it if wished, the seats need replacing also back to the original blue ones, I do have the runners which will fit seats for that era, he still has the original engine parts, air filter etc. and comes with his Tonneau covers. The intension with him was to do a sympathetic restoration due to his unique spec and having the original parts to the engine restored, so many cars these day's have parts changed on them for performance etc, that may be ok if you want to drive fast everywhere everyday but doing it I feel also removes the vehicle further away from its originality, how it was meant to be. Due to circumstances he has to go and keeping him under cover on the drive is not doing him any favours, particularly for another year, he may need one or two things doing to get him through an MOT.  He drives, had work done to the steering ect a few years ago, he does need a bit of welding doing on the near side rear wing not major and the front right lower suspension arm needs attention, other than that anything else should be mainly cosmetic. I am hoping that he will go to someone who is looking for something a bit special who will  eventually restore him back to his original state, he is sold as seen and the buyer will have to collect.I am only available to do a viewing on Tuesday or Wednesday, message me with any questions and I will answer any I can.Thank you
