Nancy walked into an Oakland, California Honda dealer showroom in mid-1983, pointed at this little Honda, and said "I want that one".....And the rest is history. She and I met later that year, and when she said that she wanted to spice up the Civic, I was more than willing to comply. She wanted fancy wheels, and opted for a size larger and fatter tires. Naturally, lowering was a must, so down it went. This look was okay for a while, but it needed to sound the part. Off with the muffler, the Queen shouted, and so it was to be. The only thing left was the Cat Converter, which had to stay....  Needless to say, it sounds great !!  Then it was time to spiffy up the paint. The original light metallic blue was used as a base, and dark metallic blue accents added. Originally, I used fuscia/aqua  tape to provide the necessary accent lines, and it looked great.  The Civic stayed this way for many years, until we moved to Idaho, back in 2000.  The paint was beginning to go away, so Nancy had it painted white, just to provide protection. It didn't get driven much, and always stayed indoors, out of the weather.  Then, several years ago, Nancy was beset by a family emergency, and had to be away from home for a few weeks. I figured this would be a good time to put some life back into the little Honda. I got together with some great friends, and we basically restored the Civic. Off with the white and on with the original colors. But this time lime green pinstriping was used, along with painting the wheels accordingly. The front seats, headliner and carpet were all redone in the original colors. New tires were installed, and to pep up the mill, a Weber carb replaced the original Keihin (which is Japanese for nightmare)!!     Needless to say, she loved it, and so does everyone else.  It is a blast to drive, although I have only been allowed to take it out a few times.  That could be attributed to the picture of it on the cover of Idaho Drag News !!  Our roads are not really conducive to small, lowered autos, so Nancy has decided to part with her beloved Civic, after 38 years of TLC... Any questions, feel free to ask away.......   Just gimme a call (I'm Nancy's secretary and mechanic)    Bruce (208) 695-3956  If I don't answer, leave a message.  I will respond prontomundo !! Again, this little Civic is a blast to drive, and never fails to attract attention, from young and old alike !!It's always difficult to portray just how nice a paint job is in pictures. The paint on this little guy is basecoat/clearcoat and is extremely nice and shiny.  I added another picture that hopefully shows just how nice it is....
