1969 Daimler V8 auto. Only 57.000 miles

Ebay last night ended my listing for this car because in the title of description I used the words “not the *** ****** vehicle” which was another name for a car similar to the Daimler V8 250. I am sorry to the last bidder at £3,000 and other bidders and watchers. I am starting this auction at £3,000 at the point ebay ended my last auction, 

I bought the Daimler in 2019 as I am 63 and an old time motor engineer I Have wanted a Daimler V8 250 for many years, after looking at several I purchased this one, in the condition of the last picture above,

I have Developed Osteoarthritis in my knees and back problems so sadly I am not able to finish the project

Only 57,000 miles from new, off the road dry stored for a number of years, the car comes with extensive history including a hand written log of all journeys and maintenance, old mot's, comes with a v5 logbook. The 1969 year comes with power steering and alternator. I fitted electronic ignition for reliability

I Have stripped all the brakes, the front breaks have been upgraded with Brand New callipers giving 2 thirds more pad and more stopping power,, the rear callipers have been stripped, serviced and new pads fitted, complete copper brake pipe system fitted, 2 new flexi pipes fitted to front and one to back, new master cylinder, new stop light switch, brand new servo pressure tank and valve

I then decided to do a bare metal re-spray, I removed the head lights, bumpers and other chrome work, then the maroon paint removed to bare metal, I have cut out all the bad metal from cills, doors , wheel arches etc and new plates welded in, Drivers door may need a little attention at bottom?.  Upon taking the paint to bare metal I gave the metal a good coat of rust stop and preventer, and a coat of grey etch primer. The front o/s wheel arch was replaced; all four inner arches have also been rust proofed and under sealed, and any repairs done.

The Daimlers Starts and runs very well, drives and sounds good, giving off that V8 verbal,

The exhaust is faultless, fitted new straps, original radio, all switches and dials working, wiper motor removed and serviced, fitted tow bar

Extremely sound underneath,

Acceptable interior, original carpets etc and it will respond well to a good clean and leather feed, minor repair needed on a small section of the driver's seat.

I do have all the bits to the car as I bought the car complete, some chrome work may be needed, depends on the buyers taste,

I would say most of the work is done the car needs the bodywork snagging re-spraying, I have already bought the paint for the re-spray.

Overall a very sound and relatively easy project to finish. The Daimler is registered  tax, and mot exempt with DVLA
